Im going into the 2/138th and couldnt find any info if they have been to Iraq and when. Is there a place that has a list of units that have been deployed overseas and when? Also, how long in advance do you find out before you unit gets deployed?

The source below is for the web site that is operated by the DOD Press Service. They have a weekly press release that lists all of the guard and reserve units which have been mobilized. There's a PDF link off that weekly press release which gives each unit by state and city. There are also individual press releases issued when specific units are targeted for deployment.

No one place.

138th FA BDE KYARNG relieved us (45th INF BDE OKARNG) in New Orleans about a month and a half ater Katrina.

They were part of Noble Eagle security at Ft. Campbell in 03-04.

That's all I know.

And you won't find out unless you contact the unit in person. That information is not allowed to be posted on public domain. Go to the unit (they probably won't answer you on the phone) and ask one of the AGRs (Active Guard/Reserve).

OR what you could do is when you get to your unit. You could ask them.
