It's a disgrace to humanity.
No, I don't believe we can reason with a culture like this...maybe ever.
I feel that the Bush administration has been a disaster (not saying that Clinton was any kind of solution), but maybe expediting a confrontation with a culture like this might be the right thing to do.
I suspect a confrontation would have been inevitable (look what happening in France with the Muslim population), so I would rather have them running for cover than me or my fellow Americans.

America has a long standing view of the rape victim as being somehow the guilty party.... We aren't honest enough to come right out and legally punish the victim like Saudi does... we do it subtly, in a hundred small ways every day... At least the Saudi's (sick freaks otherwise) are HONEST enough to state right out there, "We WILL punish the victim."

It's their culture..who are you or anyone to question thousands of years of tradition.
