These are wonderful guys who have put their lives on the line also, and I am tired of hear the gay jokes about the guys in the Navy!

Cowboy up.
There are bad jokes about all the services and we all rib each other. It's good humor in bad taste and distinctly military. Thick skin required.
You know each service call the helicoper something different.
Army: Chopper
Navy: Helo
Air Force: Whirrlybird
Marines: Well they just point up and grunt at the big metal thing in the sky.

There are also gay jokes about guys in the Marines, Air Force and Army. All the branches poke fun at each other! I have a Navy friend that I lovingly refer to as squid and he calls me ground-pounder. Let it go man.

As a former Navy man, I am too. But I think "In the Navy" by the Village People is a funny song.

Because they spend six months at sea with a bunch of dudes. It's the Navy's stigma, like people will always make fun of the Army for being stupid, the Marine Corps for being insane, and the Air Force for being soft. It's not going away.

i have never downed the navy as being gay. this being because the marines are a department of the navy, more specifically, the mens department. no hard feelings.
