WASHINGTON (AP) — If anything can tarnish Rudy Giuliani's armor, criminal charges against his police commissioner might do it.

Giuliani, the former New York mayor, has established himself as the front-runner in the Republican presidential race, defying predictions that his views on abortion and gay rights and his three marriages would repel conservative primary voters.

Now, his former protege Bernard Kerik may face federal criminal charges including tax evasion and corruption. The case against Kerik — Giuliani's friend, business partner and former police commissioner — is an opportunity for critics to question Giuliani's judgment.

"Rudy Giuliani has a few Achilles' heels, and Bernard Kerik is definitely one of them," said Tobe Berkovitz, interim dean at Boston University's college of communications. "The question is, can one of his opponents capitalize on it?"

Bushpigs resemble normal people on the outside. It isn't until one examines their defective brains that their sub-human monstrosity becomes apparent.
So beware - they walk among us, undetectable except for their frequent vacant stares.
That person standing next to you may be a banjo-picking nascar-watching bible-thumping i-support-the-troops-ribbon-wearing W-worshipping drooling retard and you won't know it til they say something stupid like "Congress has no right to subpoena Bush or Cheney."

I'm just wondering because I'v kept a baseball bat under my bed for about 2 months now, since I saw someone or something in the garden at 3AM.
It occured to me today that it probably isn't the best choice of weapon to use in my home because of the narrow passages leading from some of the rooms I might not be able to get a good swing.
Also....A baseball bat to the face would more than likely cause permanent damage or death, in Britain, the burglar has more rights than the tennant/home owner in most cases.
I would get a guard dog, but I live in rented accomodation and I'm not allowed any pets.

I just wanted to say Thank you to all the men and women who are serving or who have served in our Military. Thank you for serving our Country, thank you to your families who let you go unselfishly, thank you for risking your lives. Thank You for being willing to fight the good fight.
In the world we live in so many people are not for you but against you. That is not the case here. I appreciate all you do, all you have left behind, all you have lost.
If I could shake your hand in person I would. Since I can't, I send you my gratitude, my love and my appreciation for all you do.

For those who are not in the Armed Forces, the next time you see a Solider in uniform or a Vet ( you will know them by the hats they wear) shake their hand and say Thank you.
God Bless you all.

I took my truck in because it was overheating the mechanic said that it should only be about a hundred dollors to replace a few hoses. I was fine with that and left it to him. He then called saying that when he looked closer that there were other problems that needed to be fixed that he was unaware of. I asked him how much the repairs would cost he said he'd have to call me back. He called me back and said that it would be 345 and if I would like them to do the job, I said go ahead and do it. Today when I get there his counter person tells me it's going to cost 427 they miscalculated something and since the job had already been done I had to pay that amount. I asked them to return the car to it's orginal state since I did not okay the new total. The counter person said that he couldn't do that so I was basiclly stuck with this bill. Lucky for me my persistance paid off and I was able to leave paying the orginal amount I was quoted. How do I prevent it from happening again.

I have spent the last few days in airports going back and forth across the counrtry. In all of them I saw troops either being deployed or coming home. In almost all cases they were sitting by themselves quietly. The vast majority of people ignored them as if they were the the plague. So I spent a few bucks buying them all beers. Ok, so it cost me a few bucks. I just don't understand why I was the only one to contribute in a small way our appreciation for people that are willing to fight and die for all of us.
A silly yellow ribbon bought at the 7-11 just doesn't cut it for me.

If that is true, it's no wonder why the education system is horrible and the value of the dollar is falling.
Why can't people wake up and understand there is nothing special about this country. It isn't "protected by God" and only became as great as it is today on the backs of others (African slaves, Native Americans and foreign immigrants).
When we all wake up and realize conservativism and patriotism are all wastes of time and energy, the better off we will be. Or we can all become subjects of whatever Asian country overtakes us: China, India, Iran or Russia; take your pick.

I would take the idea of the shelter and expand on it. A clean well lighted place where anyone could go and get a free bed and food. No drinking, drugs, or weapons and well policed.
Anyone can stay aslong as they want but not many who could get jobs, etc would want to.

I would then eliminate section 8 housing, projects, food stamps, and the huge beaurocracies that surround them. And I would save a ton of money.

What say you?

Is it time for America to break away from the UK and find real allies - not that France has a particularly good record with the US, albeit 1776 and 1812.

Britain can no longer be trusted as an ally - but Australia, Japan, Canada and France, maybe Germany almost certainly can be. France is on board with the US on Iran and the neo-USSR. As are the rest.

French Fries for all!
