I have read and heard time after time that Republican's treat the military better the Democrats. Honestly, in the 8 years that I have served while under President Bush, I have slapped in the face more times then I can count. I really would like to know what President Bush has done that was so great for military and its vetrans compared to previous administrations since I have never served under a Democrat.

Please state specific examples if you are able. Also dont repeat hearsay that has been repeated enough times there for it must be 'true'. Thankyou.

I just started dating a guy who is a police officer... he made a joke the other night about looking up my record. I questioned if he actually had, and he said no, but that he could. I shouldn't have anything terrible about me on there (biggest thing I can think of is one car accident), but I was in an abusive house as a child, and called the police on my parents/had them called multiple times. I also was in court approximately 4 times before my parents' custody was forfeited. I haven't been to court/dealt with any of those issues after turning 18. My question is, will he be able to see the stuff about my family? I won't be devastated if he can, but it's just that that's not really one of the first things I want him to know about me...

Thank you!

And why do you vote Republican - for economic, security or social reasons? Which issues are most important to you?

Even as a democrat I can respect Paul for his principles. I may not agree with all of them but unlike the other republican candidates and many of the democrat candidates I trust that Ron Paul is who he says he is.
I don't understand the Republicans though. He is pro-life, pro-gun, more fiscally conservative than any other candidate yet the Republicans favor Giuliani.

Will the votes ever catch up with his with his internet fame and his one day fundrasing record?

I have been working at the place for a little over 4 months now.
About two weeks ago, my manager took me to the side and informed me that i have been ineffective at my current responsibilites and that certain tasks will be taken away from me while others will be given to me.
So within the past two weeks i have only done administrative work for the group in whch they told me to now do. While this, I cant tell you how much stress i had with them... now today, my manager called me in the office to inform me that the work i am now doing does not coorespond to the amount of my salary and they have to let me go.

1) can i collect unemployment due to this?
2) what would be the next step(s) for me in order to go about this?

Thanks for your time.

Every nation has one, every several hundred years or so....and generally, the results are healthy. This nation has never once had a single national uprising outside of the Civil War.

With Corporations, media systems, and government ever-encroaching on every aspect of our lives.....don't you all just get sick of the same crap every day?

The American dream, has been outsourced and removed from the American populace. Once, we were taught to go into business for ourselves and not only create income...but create and further on our own personal growth. Now, we're just taught to be automotons in a cubicle. Did you get the memo?

As the American empire falls, do you think this nation is going to just slowly decline? Or do you think the spirits of Americans will finally be reawakened and changes will be made?

Let's look at the facts people, unless a change is made, America will disintegrate.

Opinions? Just keep it civil, and intelligent, no propaganda please.

There are no laws governing people with tatoos. Yet a lot of employers refuse employment becasue of them. I have seen Police officers, lawyers, and doctors with them, so why can't people with a tatoo work in a lower type companies, example Mcdonalds, Wendy's, Gas stations etc. get jobs with tatoos?
Shouldn't that be considered discrimanation?

...so that we can eat or use something and die or get sick before we find out it's unsafe? I know the arguments for less government regulation on businesses; but I don't know the argument for absolutely no government regulation. I know government agencies don't always catch everything; but they have saved a lot of lives.

i am sickened by reports of soldiers, who, after risking their lives to serve their country, are verbally abused by mindless yobs who have done nothing but take from society. often, i have heard my elders bemoan the state of society. i am now coming to understand what they mean. when these heros are routinely treated in this way.

I say no, on behalf of all of the people I know including friends, family and opinions read on the Internet.
Immigration is beyond doubt the most talked about issue at this moment in a time.
I'm not racist but i will state my opinions- I'm a realist. Look up Enoch Powell's speech, 1968, and see for yourselves his prediction. The UK will result in civil war at some point, an overthrown government is my prediction- maybe a bit too hyperthetical but none-the-less rather true.
