The biggest ones are that he is a xenophobic isolationist that wants to dismantle the federal government.

Let's break down Joe T -
First off the precentage of abortions due to rape or health is less than .05%. So stop using the exception to set the rule.
Isolationist - one of the best propaganda words in recent history to try to discredit constitutionalists who think we should stay out of other countries affairs. How come we have never invaded Cuba which is a communist country 90 miles from us.
Answer - what do we gain by it? there's no oil but they do have some good cigars.
Global terrorism? Why aren't we attacking the globe. I love your Karl Rove invented phrases.
Experimentation with Government?? The form of government he is endorsing did really well up until that fascist Lincoln decided to invade a sovereign people graced with free will to live their lives as they wished.
OWNED!!!!!

Given the current mood of the people, I think he has a good chance on winning. People want a change and all I hear, from either party, is more of the same. Both parties, as they stand now, think the average American is incapable of thought. Got a news flash for all of those.
BTW. He may not have held an executive post but neither did IKE nor JFK. Think about that one.

He has not held any important executive position like Governor of a state.
Before these elections he was not known internationally.
Republican bosses are not taking him seriously.
The over zealous fans are doing more harm to his reputation as a honest, frank and principled person by indulging in several unfair practices like calling names, using inappropriate language against the front ranking / other opponents.Misusing the Yahoo Answers features like Thumbs up / down according their likes and dislikes. It may be remembered that such mannerisms will reflect on Ron and he will be considered incapable to discipline his own followers. They will be doing a great disservice to him and the cause of supporting him.

A doctor who wants to repeal Roe vs. Wade. Gee, let's condemn raped or unhealthy women to death, doc!
An isolationist who wants to take the US out of the United Nations and NATO. Gee, what a great idea in the midst of global terrorism. We could sit in a dark room and guess what the rest of the world is doing.
The list goes on.
The man is a radical populist. I've had my fill of radical, ill-advised, unworkable experimentation with government, thank you very much!

The most valid reason is because he can't get the Republican nomination with his anti-war stance. Without being nominated by one of the major parties, he is unlikely to win.
