this was from a court appointed attorney...they are now saying at its a county lien and there are no statute of limitations on that. it will remain until either debt is paid or the person dies....is this really true??

Early this morning, my landlords office called my cell phone asking for 'Carl'. I do not know anyone by that name, so I told her she had the wrong number and hung up. About a half hour later, I'm in the shower when I hear footsteps and voices in my apartment. Thinking it must be upstairs or next door, I continue to shower. Then I hear my landlord and another person standing outside my wide open bathroom door talking in hushed voices. They didn't say anything directly to me and then they left. I'm worried because I recently adopted two kittens from a shelter and it's against our lease to have pets. However, I've lived here for about six months and in that time, I've seen at least three other tenants with pets. Any advice?

My husband left November on Sunday, so his only been gone for a few days. I got to talk to him yesterday that was pretty cool. My friend that her husband is also been deployed with my husband but on different ships. She told me about motomail and that its a fast way to send letters.

I know when husbands over in Iraq their wives us it. But does it still work for the husbands on ship.? How did you like using moto mail? and how long did it take for your husband to write you back? Just wondering cause I dont know how its done on ship. How do they send out letters and things to their families

Surely it is better to tax the companies forcing this packaging on us - stop it at source than to tax us for getting rid of it. Or is there a reason they don't like with tobacco and the tax revenue they get from it meaning they can't ban smoking outright.

Is 7th fleet is controlling the whole pacific ocean?
in 1996, China stop shooting missiles to taiwan in the rehersal, when the 7th fleet was driving thru the taiwan straight.
What if meanwhile china shoot (massive) missiles to the 7th fleet? I believe China was able to shoot hundreds of missiles as to the taiwan straight. Was their concern that China would be attacked by 7th fleet and hundreds of thousands of people would die, if they attack or even try to sink the 7th fleet. I just wonder why the 7th fleet was so confident that China would remain silent? If china lauched massive missiles (hundreds or thousands) to the US fleet, it was impossible for the 7th to avoid all of those missiles if they counter attack with massive patriots missiles. I mean at least some would hit it. the 7th fleet is always cruising in the west pacific ocean, what if North Korean or China for no reason attack it with (nuclear) missiles? If so the nuclear war is gonna begin?

If the dollar keeps going the way it has been going i.e. straight down then we are not going to have a recession instead we will have a depression. The money that we are throwing away supporting wars in countries far far away is one of things that´s fueling this drop. Is anyone else out there as concerned as I am about this?

I've spoken with a lot of friends who have husbands in the military and also guys that we're friends with who are currently serving their n-th tour of active service in Iraq, and most of them say that, if it even LOOKS like Hillary will win the Presidency, they will be filing for honorable discharge, and after years of repeated re-signing for additional tours, they will be more than entitled to receive it.

Frankly, my girl friends don't want their husbands risking their lives if Hillary takes charge as commander in chief. They still care about their country, but don't trust her judgement and untested leadership skills. So even though their husbands remain enthusiatic their mission, the wives want their husbands home vs. fighting "for" Hillary.

And if it's a little spoken of trend, does that mean Hillary will NEED to institute a draft? (And why Charles Rangel is so supportive of her, since he's been calling for one?)

So what are your plans (military folks only)?

A friend of mine has to go to drug court once a week because she was in jail for 7 months because she failed a drug test when she got out on probation for cold checks. She missed one NA meeting this week. I'm just wondering if they will put her back in jail

I have a friend got pulled over and instead of giving his name he gaves his brothers name. If he gave the cop is name he would have went to jail because he has a warrent out for his arrest for nonpayment of childsupport. Can he get introuble for impersonating his brother?

LOS ANGELES — The man accused of breaking into the Bel Air mansion of Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis and forcing him at gunpoint to make a sexually provocative videotape pleaded guilty Tuesday to robbery and extortion and was sentenced to almost 11 years in prison.

It was Francis' pal Paris Hilton, 24, who tipped authorities to Riley's alleged involvement after she overheard conversations at a party.

"She was instrumental in the capture and ultimately the conviction of Darnell Riley," Francis told Courttv.com

Prosecutors confirmed that Hilton's tip helped lead to Riley's arrest on March 28, 2005, almost a year after the break-in.
