yeah that's stupid that they get rid of people for that but not for making threats which I have seen.

Yahoo answers has gone down hill.

That could be one reason. They are sticklers on whether someone has "attempted" to answer the question, and that usually takes more than a few words of agreement.

I also think some point gamers have disappeared as well as some users who had many violations in the past. Yahoo doesn't take into consideration the length of time someone has been posting here, so if you've accumulated 20 violations in a year's time, you're just as likely to be suspended as someone who has gotten 20 violations in a week.

I haven't heard of any suspensions for that reason alone, but answers like that have been reported, which leads to suspension, since it's included with other so-called violations. I've been reported a long time ago for a simple "yes" answer.
I don't think it should be a violation to answer in such a manner, since some questions are simple ones, like "Do you like potatoes in a salad", for example, and the asker may not include, "if you do, then why" etc.
YA doesn't actually even follow their own guidelines themselves, since they remove Q's, or A's without investigation. For them, it's simply someone reported you, so bye-bye question, or answer, and sometimes it's bye-bye you.

Yahoo is suspending users for two reasons. Radicals that give stupid, hate filled responses and radicals hitting the report button for spite. And maybe even for avatars like " all libs are turds " and " dubya sucks ". This is a play ground folks, not a political forum.

My accounts have suspended VERY quickly over the last few weeks.

It's really discouraging to go through all the effort of answering hundreds of questions...developing your contacts...then some egomaniacal jerk doesn't agree with your question / answer and takes it all down.

I think Y!A needs to really amend their ''community regulation" stuff. It's failing the YA purpose and failing the users.

Yes, and apparently, if you link to another question, they consider that "solicitation".

I closed my Q & A awhile back, when I realized someone was going back through REALLY old stuff and reporting me. How silly is that? LOL I guess I should be flattered that they devoted that much time and attention to me, but I'm not!

2nd time in a week I've agreed with you. I like to find common ground with the other side!

We made new debts. You in no way get the account returned till yahoo reinstates it which very almost in no way happens. you will do extra helpful off making a returned up account, so which you dont could seek on your contacts returned

Kinda odd that a website that allows unlimited quantities of profiles per user would bother deleting anyone.

I think Yahoo reporting has gone all computerized and reporting trolls are targeting specific users for suspension. They've taken down the review option on the 800 number that we used to be able to call (to get an actual human to review our suspensions and reinstate them if appropriate).

Maybe that and the over use of the report button!
alot of times people press the report button simply because they do not like that particular answerer!

Its a shame that people abuse it like that
Maybe yahoo will catch up with all the False reports and start suspending the people abusing the report button!
