Liberals can't tolerate Conservatives because so many of them prefer to live in a nice, warm, cozy dream world, and Conservatives are like a splash of cold water waking them out of their delusional bliss.
Liberals can't tolerate Conservatives because we are unquestionably more eloquent and persuasive. Can anyone deny the enormous popularity, as well as educational and entertainment value of Conservatives like Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly? I'm not asking if you agree with them, but they are unquestionably popular because they actually have something substantial to say. The blind rhetoric of hatred and intolerance than comes from childish rants from the likes of Al Franken and Alec Baldwin grow tiresome very quickly.
Liberals can't tolerate Conservatives because we can so easily debunk not only their philosophy but their dubious accomplishments. For example, Conservatives are the true conservationists. Did I just turn some heads? Let me repeat.
Conservatives are the real conservationists, not Liberals. Liberals say they are truly concerned about the environment, but what has been been their overall impact? Which group is responsible for setting aside all the national parks? Was it Conservative sportsmen, game hunters, botanists, and naturalists who had an intimate knowledge of the land, and sought tirelessly to protect it, or some clueless Liberal in NYC who just saw some pretty picture and thought it would be nice to visit someday?
So, misconception #1: Conservatives are the true conservationists. Liberals just make matters worse. The are inept blunderers who can't get anything right. If they had not opposed nuclear energy back in the 70's, we would be energy sufficient right now. We wouldn't have to even think about the Middle East. They could just go "pound sand". Wouldn't that be nice? Well, thank Liberals for the mess they created.
Think about it. France pursued nuclear energy, and they are laughing their derrière off at us.
I could go on and on, but you get the picture.
Liberals simply cannot tolerate Conservatives because we expose their glaring inadequacies for all the world to see.

I tolerate both sides to a point. When we have peaceful debate its good, but when either side starts spewing vitriolic hatred for the other side its time to step away.
