Why Does It Seem That The Democrat's Ideology Doesn't Jive With This Constitutionalist ?

Maybe You Better Read The WHOLE Thing Before Answering. . . . Adams Was Right

Two Significant Quotes From John Adams --

"Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." -- John Adams

In 1786 John Adams said this: "It has ever been my hobby-horse to see rising in America an empire of liberty, and a prospect of two or three hundred millions of freemen, without one noble or one king among them. You say it is impossible. If I should agree with you in this, I would still say, let us try the experiment, and preserve our equality as long as we can. A better system of education for the common people might preserve them long from such artificial inequalities as are prejudicial to society,
*by confounding the natural distinctions of right and wrong, virtue and vice*."
-- John Adams (letter to Count Sarsfield, 3 February 1786)

An answerer to my previous question said something about a national healthcare system with premiums based on income?? How is that fair? Right now its based on age, health and other factors(for private) - hello, thats fair, why should I pay more for being successful and end up paying for the unhealthy lifestyles of others?

I pay freaking less than $50.00 a month for my insurance, I low co-pays, a very small deductible and I get to see pretty much any doctor i want. I have had something that falls in the "pre-existing" condition catergory and i am still able to be treated under my insurance. So f all you guys who want to take that away from me.

The worst presidents don't get re elected with 51% of the vote.

I think these people are just mad because;

The Democrat Controlled Congress is polling at 11% - an all time low.

It's been a long time since the Democrats has a president to be proud of. FDR was the last DEM prez two serve at least two full terms and NOT be impeached.

Since the surge is working and Iraq might work out after all, our two term president might be ranked in the top 3rd of presidents all time. Not a Reagan or a Lincoln, but not a Carter or an LBJ either.

The Brazilian electrician shot dead by police who thought he was a suicide bomber had been acting in an "aggressive and threatening manner" when confronted by officers, a court heard on Friday. Menezes was walking to the station, buying a ticket and getting on the train - well if that is behaving in an agressive manner, what chance have we got with a few drinks inside us.
The murder of Jean Charles de Menezes, who was gunned down as he boarded an underground train at Stockwell tube station in south London was a "terrible accident", said the lawyer defending the capital's force which is on trial for breaking health and safety laws. But he had been behaving "aggressive and threatening manner". De Menezes was shot seven times in the head for being agressive and threatening against 6 armed police officers??

Agressive manner??? no one else on the train saw his "agressiveness" Just what do our police do when confronted by a really agressive person, nuke him?

In the latest version of the children's health care bill passed by Congress, families with up to $62,000 of household income would get healthcare for their children paid by the government. Should families in the $40,000-$62,000 earning level qualify? $62,000 is three times the poverty level.

1. Why do people support a criminal US President?

a. Which law has he broken?

Bush Senior violated the Constitution as he needs the approval of Congress to make war. This he never got! What he did get was the approval for funding. His administration lied to Congress and to the American people about Iraq...about war deaths, the nature of Iraq's leadership, and the possibility of imminent danger.

Then when their negotiator secured Saddam's agreement to withdraw, they screwed the negotiator by silencing what he had done. They said that Saddam refused to withdraw which was not the case. So, the negotiator gets to know the Iraqi regime and can and will testify before a joint session of Congress as to events and observations, and Bush administration wrongdoings!

In Bush Junior's term he was advised by US intelligence and by our firm as to everything that went on during his father's term in office, yet he continued to believe the Cheney version and the lies that came from

to be contd

In the current crop of pols running for president in 2008, have any of them NOT broken the law? Or have had allegations?

I mean, Obama's drug use is pretty much well documented. And Hillary has the Peter Paul mess and Whitewater among other things. Rudy is wallowing in rumors and allegations that he's involved in any number of slimy activities. THESE ARE OUR FRONT RUNNERS? What about the rest of them? Is there anyone out there who isn't a used car salesman with the title of Politician?
