The neo-conservatives have lined up behind Giuliani like you said. Whats interesting is the Christian Right has lined up behind Romney and Huckabee. So now you have these two groups in the Republican party, who both supported GWB, battling against each other with a different candidate. THis could really divide the party so its going to be itneresting to watch. Giuliani has been the only candidate to really hire these people as advisors while the other candidates try to distance themselves from these people
Thats interesting though what you said about Giuliani possibly starting War with Iran. Given that many of his advisors, including Norman Podherotz, have supported it, this could be something the Democrats use against Giuliani. Maybe something like the Johnson ads against Goldwater in 1964, where they suggested that electing Goldwater could lead to nuclear war with the Soviet Union. Very negative advertising but very effective, Johnson won in a landslide that year.
His slogan was "Vote for President Johnson on November 3rd. The stakes are too high for you to stay home."

Depends on where he is campaigning. He flip flops more than a trout on the riverbank. Are the 'advisors' for show to suck up to the Robertson/Falwell adherents? Or are they for real? He's a foaming fundamentalist in the south, but a good son of Catholic Italy when necessary. Before there should be a question of a vote for Rudy it should be a question of WHO is Rudy?

Rudy will be dumped by both sides very soon. The republicans hate his stances on the second ammendmant, abortion rights, gay rights as well as his repeated personal disregard for his family. Democrats hate his pro-war stances and general stupidity.
He's been running on a campaign of "terror fear" and getting attention for fear mongering (always a crowd pleaser in the short term).
He's basically the worst of the two parties, he won't last.

A vote for Rudy means a vote to keep us safe. Don't forget, sweetie, it was because of "extreme right-wingers" that America became a free country in the first place. Brave men that chose to fight and die for freedom and liberty. We've got you Liberals spoiled....

On the plus side, maybe he'd run it better than the present fool. On the negative side maybe he wouldn't if he has the same handlers that got us into this mess.
