Shall we keep the fight against terrorism going?

2007-10-26 04:33:57 · 11 answers · asked by xenypoo 7 in Politics & Government Politics

No doubt here, that terrorists have been around for thousands of years, even, but does that mean we don't fight them, and abide their behavior?
No country ever fought terrorism like America is now.
The reason terrorism continues, is because no one has fought them, but abided by it out of fear.
America is not known for fear, we are known for our strength, and freedom.
Will you allow a small group who hate anyone who isn't like them, compared to the rest of the world, defeat America, and her values?

Interesting site - I wonder if we compared those hit with those fighting, would it be equal?

I say let's fight. I also say we should support those who are doing the actual fighting right now!

"Will you allow a small group who hate anyone who isn't like them, compared to the rest of the world, defeat America, and her values?"

Oh, you mean like the way GW has used 9/11 to deny habeus corpus, eveasdrop on telephone calls and emails, indefinately detain AMERICAN CITIZENS at an undisclosed location, with no legal representation, no right to question their imprisonment, not even a visit from the red cross, endure torture...you mean those "values"?
Are there any American values left that Bush HASN'T destroyed? Except tax cuts for the rich, of course.

Terrorists have been around a long time. Can we afford to keep fighting irresponsible wars like the one in Iraq?

Don't you think there is a better way to proceed? We have limited resources afterall. As usual, the Republicans like to talk big but in the end that's all they got. We know who the C students are. We are worse off than before and haven't accomplished anything worthwhile. Politically, Iraq is dead.

That map is not helpful and not extremely clear.

That does not look like a lot of "incidences," considering it's for the whole continent...

What fight against terrorism? Do you mean that, or do you mean the War in Iraq? there is a difference.

tll--How ridiculouos can a statement be?: "...who don't think that TERRORISTS are a threat..." ARE YOU SERIOUS? Does that even make sense to YOU?

How bout we find freakin Osama Bin Laden already, six years and not even a whiff of where he is? We need to focus our resources and take him out. I got news for you, terrorism has been around for thousands of years and it will continue whether we spend the 2.4 trillion dollars or not. YOu can never iradicate it, and by killing terrorists you turn their brothers and sisters into terrorists, when do you think this will change??? How long do you think it will take??? How much money are you willing to spend?? Bring our troops home and protect our borders and let them come out of the caves and crevices they are hiding in.

The terrorists are members of a religious cult called Islam and at any moment any of its followers can become terrorist . So we must begin killing the followers of the cult now before it becomes a menace that is unstoppable .

Besides a few billion less people will slow global warming .

Terrorism would be the big three weapons proliferators. The US, China, and Russia.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
