In the current crop of pols running for president in 2008, have any of them NOT broken the law? Or have had allegations?

I mean, Obama's drug use is pretty much well documented. And Hillary has the Peter Paul mess and Whitewater among other things. Rudy is wallowing in rumors and allegations that he's involved in any number of slimy activities. THESE ARE OUR FRONT RUNNERS? What about the rest of them? Is there anyone out there who isn't a used car salesman with the title of Politician?

You're right - most presidents we've had in the past have had at least one shady dealing. But I'm looking forward - we can't unelect anyone. Going forward, who has a clean record?

Huckabee, known him since high school and he is as stright as a string. If he says something you can take it to the bank. I fear that it will certainly hinder his run for office.

I am not registered to a party which is a mistake actually. I may hate both parties with a passion but not being registered just limits my rights to choose a candidate. I am getting registered as soon as possible. I am trying to figure out if I can register in both parties.
Now if the parties choose candidates that are flawed and my choice is about the lesser evil then guess what? I am not choosing. Thats right I won't vote if I don't believe in the candidate offered. Never Again. Either I get to vote for the person I think is best or I won't play anymore. If enough people shun the polls because our choices are criminals then maybe the politicians will get the hint that we are not supporting them. If were not supporting them then the step to opposing them is that much closer and they do understand that.

Absolutely, Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter, very strong on illegal immigration, pro-gun ownership, small government, low taxes, some are advocating doing away with the IRS altogether and having a flat tax. You can check all candidates voting records and stands on the issues at onetheissues.org

How many "shady" deals is Hillary still involved in that have not yet been uncovered? John Edwards looks the best for me.

Wasn't Clinton a draft-dodger? OK, they were all pardoned....

Look at the Kennedy's, for goodness sake!! However, back then, the press wouldn't DARE do what they do now...so being corrupt was much easier for presidents and their families.

Yeah, but they're the ones that never win an election because they're not corrupt enough. McCain, Hucklebee, Biden, Paul..... Etc.
