My employer sued me for breaching a contract. (I had 3 years to serve but since I terminated early I need to pay certain amount as written in the contract).

I have grounds for not paying them and I have sent my response to the court thru my attorney.

So the question is, since I cannot afford the amount, what will be the worse that will happen to me granting if the court's decision will be in favor of the employer?

Will I be imprisoned or will my credit be destroyed?

to my son when it is spelled out in the custody documents that I am allowed to speak with my son by phone 15 minutes every day? Also, he does not inform me or allow me the opportunity to attend doctor appointments. He does not consult with me prior to signing him up for extra-curricular activities. All of these are clearly stated in our custody papers that he is to do. Many, many things he is in contempt of court for. Is there any recourse? We have joint legal & physical custody & we share an almost 50/50 time arrangement if that helps.

I wasnt breathlyized nor arrested, and only recived court cost, I paid some, but lost work, and havent paid in about two years, a matter I hope the army can help me resolve as it is my only offense. Also, do ppl with GEDS get bonuses? Furthermore, I completly lack mathmatical skill, but ace the english/reading comprehension on every practice test, my recruiter didnt say much about my unpaid fine, and is still going through the motions with me(Im going in tomorrow to get tutored in math) and am going to meps on thursday, I have been completly honest with him, and he has with me also, would he bother wasting his time if he thought I hadnt a chance? And with the lack of math, and excellent english, will that qualify me for any decent jobs? It doesnt really matter which one I qualify for, either way I am going to do all I can to serve this country and to better myself, so, OPINIONS PLEASE!! Thank you, and yes I realize this paragraph isnt very linguistic, but eh? lol

What debate? Seemed more like a promotion for McCain, Romney, Guiliani and Thompson. for instance Ron Paul went a second over his 30 seconds, he was interrupted, but Guiliani was allowed to talk almost a minute past his 30 seconds.

It is obvious the 4 mentioned candidates are being promoted by the media, so I will not be voting for any of them since there is something fishy about them if the media supports these people.

I agree with him. No matter how many times people will bring up 9/11 to try to justify the means, it does not make it right. In fact, it puts America on the same level as Pol Pot, North Korea and Vietnam. To hear media blowhards like Bill O'Reilly defend torture as a viable means of extracting information simply makes me sick. Is this what our great country has sunk to?

I'm starting to get very interesting flyers from democrats locally who are running for non-national positions. Today came from the local democratic party and is espousing a plan to:
1. Hold businesses accountable who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
2. Crack down on developers that support illegal immigration.
3 Fund more police patrolling our streets to protect our community and stop gang violence.
4. Combat residential overcrowding and neighborhood blight.

It's certainly not everything that I want, but it's an inkling that we are starting to get through here. Are you seeing the same in your own local elections?

How can the US say it is a great paragon of virtue?

How can you say America is "land of the free" and the "arsenal of democracy" when the CIA runs around abducting foreign citizens, deporting them to the Middle East and torturing them?

Of course, they can't torture them on US soil... Its just a simple matter of taking the person elsewhere to torture them!

Normally, as a Red-Tory conservative type I would question this German citizen's story about how he was handed over to the CIA, and then tortured by them in Afghanistan.

However, when you get the government denying his case saying that his story would "expose state secrets", doesn't this make you wonder?

What "State secrets" does the Bush administration have to hide?

How many others have been tortured by the arsenal of democracy and possibly killed to keep the "state secrets" safe???

i have been brought up in the 60's and 70'. i'm looking at vh1 classic about john lennon and saw again the protest . on the vietnam war. i believe in freedom. when the planes hit us i sat down crying and thought, this is going to be another vietnam. i stand and say that we need to stop and bring our troops home and see what iraq can do for themselves. if they need our help they can ask and we can help if it is for a right cause. we did in iraq what our president wanted. now we need to go after the ones that came to our country and distrouyed our peaple. don't get mad at me. i just want to know what you have to say!

I'm a 22 year-old male, and am thinking of joining the U.S. Army. I have a question, more of a concern, though. Supposedly I pass through all the training and qualifications, and get "accepted" and into the program. I'm sure an 18 year-old can also join. So, is it possible that I may have a platoon leader who's younger than me? I dunno. That's kinda humiliating, a 22 year-old having to listen to a 18 or 19 year-old, if not younger!
