Yes, "scene cut out - just not shown at all"! He was just talking to one of his students!
I forget which network.

Thanks azred_tx. I hope that's true.
It's just that it was such a human, emotional, powerful point in the movie. It should definately have stayed. Besides, if they needed to save time, they could've cut every fifth frame out, or something.

There is nothing evil about a high school music teacher. But there is something evil about these people who censor all that they can. Why not let us decide for ourselves - if you don't like it then simply go see something else or get up & leave. It's probably the same ones that are cutting the budgets for the performing arts in schools. Narrow minded people that probably thought that the part between him and the young girl was too much. It made the story more emotional. It's usually not music teachers that you hear doing the sordid things to kids that is in the news. Regardless... It was realistic and a great movie! It showed how the one teacher can have a positive effect on many students for years later.

Sometimes scenes that are not critical to a movie are cut so that it fits nicely into a time slot for the network.

Many movies have such scenes deleted or shortened; it happens all the time.

What are you talking about? A few details would help greatly.
.
OK...A scene was cut out? So, what? Was there something controversial in the scene? Did the network have time constraints and NEED to cut something? Even with the details...such as they are...I don't see how this rises to the criticism of censorship. I think you are being overly sensitive...about something.

How was it censored? Scenes cut out or just not shown at all?

censored when? And what part. Things are getting out of control, I can't believe people encourage censorship. Just turn the channel if you don't like it.

Conservatives hate any kind of art except country. Most fascists hate art, history should tell you that.
