as an Enlgishman who owns the 25 biggest companies in the USA i have nothing but respect for the Americans who belong to me, but i do believe they have "the wool pulled over their eyes"quite easily.
A good example is as follows
As most people are aware Americans are not very good at wars and usually end up killing people on the same side.
Most Americans have been told by the media this is due to poor training and conditions, but i have a theory .
I believe the American government has purchased its guns from a fairground sale. The guns that are issued to the US troops have actually had the barrells bent to prevent you from winning prizes at the fairgorunds and then are sold at a very cheap price to the US government for use in Iraq
Why dont Americans ever question why they are such poor shots?

Let me be clear. I know what the Electoral College is, and I know what it does. I understand its purpose. I am just wondering if we haven't gotten to the point where it's time to put it on the shelf and allow voters to vote directly for the Presidential candidate of their choice. We have the technology to handle direct voting at that level.

I live in a red state, and I am a Dem. I don't like the fact that my vote doesn't count. I know plenty of Reps who live in blue states, like California, and I don't like the fact that their voice is not heard, either. We've already had the experience of having a sitting president who was not elected by the popular vote, and I don't know about anyone else, but I find that amazingly frustrating. And it's not because I am a Dem, either. I just think the present system is outmoded, and that a lot more people would actually care if they thought their vote actually counted for something.

Your thoughts??

Thank you.

In cases of murder where it is proven without a shadow of a doubt with all the new CSI's and forensic skills?
Our prisons are over crowded, should the burden of taking care of these lifers be on the tax payer with increased taxes?

I don't think Clinton has much of a chance, unless she starts wearing her hijab.

Obama was reared Muslim but converted, so I think he lost points with Ahmadinejad for that.

We all no how Ahmadinejad feels about Gays, so Edwards is out...

Wait! Are Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton running yet? They're anti-Semetic like Ahmadinejad, maybe he endorse them?

Any ideas?

I am withdrawing from college, so I fear of getting drafted. (Please don't put your political opinions about the draft not coming.) I was born in the Philippines, and I plan to move there, and I wondered if I could just become only a Philipino citizen no longer an American. If you have anymore questions please ask, thanks.....

So we have the monks in Burma demonstrating against the military rule with their chants and peaceful protests. It got me thinking for all the "good" the voice of the UK population does when we don't agree with a government issue, let the Houses of Parliament be beseiged by a marauding swarm of Morris Dancers, who are the stalwarts of British history and tradition.
Let them let rip with their jingly bell sticks and a "hey nonny ney" and see the politicians quake in their boots
Views anyone?

I'm not talking about forcing people to give up their personal beliefs.

I'm talking about banning religion out of politics and public life. Like no politicians saying "God bless America" to get votes, no swearing on the Bible in court etc.

Your thoughts please.

As an Englishman who owns the 20 biggest companies in the USA i feel i must ask this.
I own many of these American types and i am frankly appalled at the strength of thier hate towards the USA.In my opinion Americans are smashing people, but they have little or no loyalty.
I have had a recent request from the Americans who i own, which involves the installation of USA flag toilet paper into all of the cubicles.
I usually allow the Americans i own a few treats, but to me this takes the biscuit.
Am i right to stand up for the USA?

In New York, perhaps. But in the REAL America, a New York Republican is just another lib (Giuliani, Romney, Bloomberg, etc.)
