Well you're certainly not alone, but I rather fear that those of us who don't much like him, are sadly significantly outnumbered!

Unfortunately, Tony Blair has succeeded in turning our general election into a glorified Miss World contest, where people seem to be voting for the person they find most 'cute' or 'entertaining', rather than voting for a political party and the policies they claim to represent.

Sadly of course, there is now so little difference between the main parties that I suppose the 'presidential' style individual personality contest for the Prime Minister job, has pretty much superseded the election of a government that used to happen in the past.

Unfortunately the opposition parties are also playing much the same game, and none of them seem to be able to muster anyone as a potential alternative.

God help us.

You are definitely not alone.

Its a very long time ago I actually believed or respected any Government leader.

Brown will have to do a darned sight more than just talk about what he is going to do to help the downtrodden, the sick and the homeless before I will learn to like or trust him.

Lets not forget that it won't be that long before he will be calling a general election so he is probably trying to hoodwink us all into voting labour when it comes.

Doesn't all politicians do the same?

I have personally no affiliation with any political party, I simply vote for the person or party I consider will do me the least damage, not which one will do me the most good, as that never seems to happen once they are in power.

I'm being very cynical I know but at my age I have seen how the promises made never seem to be kept when those who made them are elected.

Gordon Brown is a conviction politician.
He is old school socialist.
In other words he believes the state should take as much of our money as they can because they are so much better at spending it than we are.

Control everything. Get everyone out to work. Get our children into state run institutions as young as possible.
Destroy the unity of the family.

You do have to admire his skill in dressing it all up to make it sound good!

No hun, you are definitely not alone but I think most people were so delighted to be rid of Blair that they would have entertained the idea of Dracula himself at Number 10 for the moment!

Doesn't everyone love El Gordo? I love someone who likes to take as much of my money as he can and be prudent with it in ways I could never imagine - like wars in Iraq and attempting to close my local NHS hospital. At the same time public services continue to decline - what a magician he is! Viva El Gordo!

I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind falling in love with comrade brown. Unfortunatly people in this country seem to have very short memories.

No you're not alone. Can't stand the hypocrite and I've not met any body who does like him. And a lot of those people are/were labour voters.
