as an Enlgishman who owns the 25 biggest companies in the USA i have nothing but respect for the Americans who belong to me, but i do believe they have "the wool pulled over their eyes"quite easily.
A good example is as follows
As most people are aware Americans are not very good at wars and usually end up killing people on the same side.
Most Americans have been told by the media this is due to poor training and conditions, but i have a theory .
I believe the American government has purchased its guns from a fairground sale.The guns that are issued to the US troops have actually had the barrells bent to prevent you from winning prizes at the fairgorunds and then are sold at a very cheap price to the US government for use in Iraq
Why dont Americans ever question why they are such poor shots?

I don't believe you've realized how much war has changed. During World War II we lost more Americans in a training excersize than we've lost in more than one year in direct combat in Iraq. And the deaths related to this particular training exercise weren't the result to friendly fire, but a Nazi attack on one of YOUR beaches.
Furthermore, I'd like to see what you have to say for other militaries out there. As I recall, the US military is the highest trained armed force of them all, so to say we're shooting with fair ground weapons leads me to believe that everybody else must be flinging peas from a spoon.
I particularly don't believe our troops are as bad of shots as you say, I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill based on the few instances you may have heard of. Fact of the matter is, there's always going to be friendly fire, in ANY military. What counts is, how few people we lose. And what may be a massacre to most people these days, doesn't compare to the wars of the past.
Don't take this the wrong way, I respect your opinion and I don't want this to be taken harshly, I just have a hypothetical question for you. If you were stood in an open field and a US soldier was allowed one shot at you from any distance you wished, how far away would you put yourself? I'd be curious to know how confident you are then that he couldn't hit you.

I suppose Brits make easier targets. Mayhaps Dick Chenney bought one of those guns at the fairgrounds too. The Brits and the allies should thank their lucky stars that the Yanks turned up so late in WW2 otherwise their casualties would be higher. Anyways, I think its a CIA plot to have the guns bent otherwise if the enemy are all dead they would have no jobs anymore.

Hey, Brit, WW2? Yea you're welcome. Americans being poor shots? That is actually farthest from the truth. US Marines happen to be very good shots. In fact there was (I can't remember the site to show you of the top of my head) a point in the begining of the war where 90% of all kills were headshots. The problem isn't the gun we use, its accurate as hell. The caliber of the rifle is what sucks, it doesn't have the punch it needs.

What a dufus. In Iraq, the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of deaths are caused by the insurgents and most without any US military in the area at the time. Stop blaming the good guys just because it is easier.

Well, we own more guns than brains, so i doubt we are missing the enemy when we fire. Its funny to see how people try to attack a country that has it all. I can understand why someone would be envious of our affluence and freedom, but why the attacks? why not come over here and get your own piece of heaven?
