Where are the hundreds of thousands of protesters hitting the streets like they did in 1968 through 1972? The young people of today seem to not care what goes on in Iraq. As one young person told me this morning "What? There is still a war in Iraq?". Then she said "How is Spears and Hilton doing"?....

first off, i'm not saying indictment isn't a serious matter (b/c obviously it is) what I'm asking is why is it considered more serious than being charged with a crime? is indictment and charged the same thing or not? thanks.....

If I call the police, they never get here before the smell leaves... and I also don't want the idiot who is smoking it to do anything to my car if he finds out it's me who called. I don't know what to do. He smokes it in the back yard and the smell comes into my side windows and make's my whole house smell. It's disgusting.

I have a cousin VERY active in animal rescue, and I assure you that many, many unwanted strays are put to sleep every day in THIS country. What about them?

Am I the only one who is less admiring than offended by this?

The State Department has no record of ever receiving my application, my major concern is that I sent in my original US citizenship certificate and all the money paid. Now the Post Office wants me to pay $5.00 to put a trace on my money order for the State Depart, they should pay because they are the ones who lost my file.

"alternative lifestyle" in Iran means "an alternate to life" apparently. Is this still the anti-Christian paradise that the Liberals thought it was???

I'm writing a paper on an ethical situation where an inmate asks a prison guard to mail a letter after their mail privileges where taken away. I was under the impression that because the inmate is allowed to participate in their legal defense throughout the appeals process and mail would be an integral part of this, that this would be against the law. Is there ways around this? Or can prison officials withhold mail as a punishment?

An Israeli soldier who just enlisted asked the Commanding Officer for a 3-day pass.
The CO says "Are you crazy? You just join the Israeli army, and you already want a 3-day pass? You must do something spectacular for that recognition!" So the soldier comes back a day later in an Arab tank! The CO was so impressed, he asked
"How did you do it?"
"Well, I jumped in a tank, and went toward the border with the Arabs. I approached the border, and saw an Arab tank. I put my white flag up, the Arab tank put his white flag up. I said to the Arab soldier, "Do you want to get a three-day pass? So we exchanged tanks!"

PEACE BE TO YOU ALL !!!!!!!!

Basically, the message I get from pro-choice people is, we're sanctioning abortions for people who have irresponsible, unprotected, pre-marital sex...and if anyone questions the ethics of this, we'll just fall back on the rape and incest arguement, even though we all know the majority of unwanted pregnancies happen as a result of the former methods.

What if you are seeing 2-3 different doctors and they all have a different opinion on your disability status? One of my doctors has me on a temporary partial (which he will probably lift when I see him next week), and one of my doctors has me on a permanent partial...I also have an appointment with another doctor for a third opinion (all in the same week). Which doctor does worker's comp go by? Should I cut it down to just one doctor? I'm really confused.

It appears that of the opinions that I read of people who bash the US, think the US is evil, or at least as evil as any other country out there. But yet these people only see fit to demonize and criticize the US.

If all countries are equally evil, and you live in the US, wouldn't it behoove you to at least support the country you live in?
Knowing that other governments want the US wiped off the face of the earth, knowing that you live in the US, why wouldn't you stand up for it? (all of its good, bad and ugly)

Perhaps the question is not as clear as I would like it to be, so please try to understand the gist of it and respond accordingly. Thanks! (PS, I'm batoning down the hatches in anticipation of the impending onslaught of brutal opinions of this question.) :(

furthemore since our tax dollars are paying for black water- how come congress has no idea how much money is being funneled to them by by Bush?

Apparenlty bush did his homework on hitler. because blackwater is the modern day S.S. on steroids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqM4tKPDlR8

note- bush considers blackwater not a militia but rather, "SECURITY" see below link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS

Did you see his speech? Doesn't it seem like one could basically summarize his views, as follows?: 9/11, the American invasion of Iraq, the problems faced by the muslim world, basically all of the world's woes, are the fault of Israel and/or the Jews. I guess with his "blame the Jews" strategy, the man has allied himself with Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and various other anti-semitic groups. And this is a man who's a self-professed "academic."
