It was at a forum that John Kerry was speaking at and the kid was talking about some conspiracy theories. I disagree with what he was saying, but do you think it was right for the police to drag him away and tase him? Do you think some sort of nonviolent disciplinary action may have been more appropriate?

I saw the Video. While he was a little pushy, he did nothing wrong in my opinion to be zapped by a freaking Taser Gun. He is a journalist and reporters can sometimes be pushy. Your thoughts?

What options do we have. She can't really get an annulment. She probably can't get a fiance visa being that she is legally married in the Philippines. But I thought there might be something possible you can do at the US embassy in Manila? Because US does have divorce.

This is what is says under K1 Visa...

A common basis for refusal is a prior marriage for the beneficiary or the petitioner that has not been legally terminated. There is no divorce in the Philippines. A consular officer will only accept a death certificate or a court ruling of annulment or of presumptive death as evidence that a Filipino marriage has been terminated. An American may terminate a Filipino marriage through a U.S. divorce.

Now it says an american may terminate a filipino marriage through US divorce, but is this like a catch 22? Then doesn't she have to be american before she can do it?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

A major reason why people dont like Sen. clinton is because they feel that she wants "to make us all equal". I am aware that there are those who work hard and are skeptical about giving up what they earn to society, but how much money do you REALLY need to earn? Why should there be millionaires when there are children without healthcare, families unable to survive, etc. Do we have a responsibility as Americans to help our fellow citizens?

Petraeus knows more about the conflict in Iraq than anyone else, but the antiwar group MoveOn.org slapped him in the face on a day when all of Washington should have only been listening. Its infamously insulting ad, which was placed in The New York Times the day Petraeus was scheduled to testify before members of the House of Representatives, asked: "General Petraeus or General Betray Us?"

The day after Petraeus' hearing, the Republican presidential candidates attacked the grand Democratic silence. Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona may have put it best later in the week: "If you're not tough enough to repudiate an attack like that, you're not tough enough to be president," he said, addressing Clinton specifically.

Radically altered existing DOD protocols and issued a new directive placing all decision-making powers, specifically in the case of 'Derelict Airborne Objects', under the control of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.(This document removed the authority of well intentioned Generals and field officers to shoot down hijacked aircraft and gave the authority strictly to Donald Rumsfeld, the man who is documented as needing a "New Pearl Harbor".)

I'm a 18 year old male and I'll be turning 19 this November. I haven't signed up for the draft yet and I'm wondering what to do. One website I read said that I'm legally required to register no later then 29 days after I turn 18. Well, I'm way past that deadline.
What (if any) are the penalties for not registering?

Union? He didnt care about slaves in the least: I get sick of the crappy revised version of history we are taught in school.

August 1862 (in response to a letter from Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune) – "Dear Sir . . . I have not meant to leave any one in doubt. . . . My paramount objective in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or destroy Slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could do it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that. What I do about Slavery and the colored race, I do because it helps to save this Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help save the Union. . . . I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty, and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men, everywhere, could be free.
Yours, A. Lincoln."

When I tried to put the sticker for my license plates on it wouldn't stick because my plate was dirty so I was afraid it was going to fall off,so instead I just put it in my glove box thinking if I got pulled over I could just show the cop. That was almost a year ago I have had many cop cars behind me but have never been pulled over. Today I got pulled over by the Carpentersville,Illinois PD I showed the officer my sticker explained why it wasn't on. He took my license and gave me a $75 ticket for improper display and I asked him why he couldn't of given me a warning he wouldn't answer and told me my only option was to pay the ticket so I could get my license back the ticket says no court appearence nessesary but there is a time and date there- could I go on that day and see if the judge will at least lower the fine or will I then have to pay the fine plus court costs? someone please help. I have never ever been in trouble in my life and have never had a problem with a cop before
