Anyone who thinks they understand this plan and believes in clinton need to see the interview with clinton and ABC george steponopolous (whatever, i think thats who it was) this past weekend.
Upon questioning, clinton did not know exactly how her plan is going to work especially with the details. These would have to be "worked out" later.
I hope in the upcoming months that the media will focus on this fact, and make clinton be more forthcoming with the details so that all Americans will know exactly what she plans to do to us.

Are you referring to the HillaryCare 2.0 proposal that Bush is going to try to implement before he leaves office? That is an unconstitutional, economically ignorant, piece of garbage that should be laughed at.

This "Universal Healthcare" and "Right to Healthcare" nonsense is absurd. Contrary to a longstanding misconception, there is no such thing as a "right" to education, health care, a living wage, or any other "positive" right. The only rights that exist are individual inalienable rights. These legitimate rights do not require anybody to provide anything, but rather only require other people to not violate them. Examples of legitimate rights include the rights to life, liberty, and property, from which all others are derived (for example, the right to Free Speech). There is also no such thing as a "right" to violate the rights of others (there is no right to kill, steal, or otherwise committ an act of aggression).

I think she is grasping at straws. I think it is one of the most stupid ideas I have ever heard of. That is what they have in Canada and they try to come to America to be able to have tests because when the country has allowed all the MRI's (or any necessary tests) that they will pay for that year, it doesn't matter if you are having horrible headaches that could be a brain tumor or anything else that might need immediate care you are not going to get the test until the next year when they can start over and lets get real, free, to who, not the ones of us who work and pay for everything else the government wants to give away!!!!! It has to come from some where.

I think it imposes on free will and our rights. She wants to make insurance companies further in charge of your health, by REQUIRING you to carry insurance. Gone will be the days where hospitals will see anyone regardless of your ability to pay, you'll need an insurance card to get into the door. Gone will be your choice on whether you want to carry insurance at all (some people don't have it now because they don't want it, imagine that). Say hello to high taxes, smaller returns, and your new big government and insurance nannies.

I think it has great possibilities. I'd be willing to bet that 90% of the conservatives on here whining about it haven't even bothered to read the entire thing, assumptions are enough for them. Ending the tax cuts for 250K+ income and rolling all the current government health programs that will become extinct right into this healthcare is going to cover more costs than most believe. The thing is right now we don't really know what it will do to our personal taxes - but I can't imagine it will be more than any of us can bear.

It is getting very annoying to keep hearing all this complaining about what health care for our own citizens is going to cost when none of these right wingers seem to mind the $12 billion MONTHLY bill we keep racking up in this never ending war without end amen. We aren't a third world country and all of our citizens should have reliable health care for their families. We're one of the richest countries in the world, it's shameful that we don't have it already.

It takes away choice and is another Socialist boondoggle that presupposes some non-existent "right" that people who don't earn a living should have everything equal to those who do work.
Just steal it form those who work and give it away to those who have spent a lifetime doing little of benefit to mankind.
Charity is good. Using the IRS to extort money is BAD!

When cons had no idea what was being proposed they invented all sorts of lies about nationalizing the health industry and removing incentives for health professionals and made it very clear that the private sector should provide health insurance.
So Hillary designs a system that takes advantage of the private sector and cons come out to attack it.
Guess they just don't want a lot of people to have health insurance.

I think this is a VERY good idea. Almost everybody would gain from a health insurence system, like WE have in Europe. Everyone will get ill sooner or later in life. So sure , higher taxes, but a fairer system and cheeper for everybody in the long run. From what I can understand only the insurence companies gain from your present system.

Between her plan and Bush's, we'll be giving the insurance companies and drug companies about $300 billion a year in tax money on top of what we pay out of pocket.

That'll show those greedy capitalists that care more about profits than health!

...Wait...Crap...

Joke.

She takes money from the insurance companies and now wants to mandate that everyone have insurance. What a shocker!
