Admin Seeks Advisor to Guide Iraqis on Oil Law
Meanwhile in Iraq, new signs indicate the Bush administration is expecting the Iraqi government to soon pass its U.S.-backed oil law. The Washington Post reports the Commerce Department is looking to hire a legal advisor to help U.S. and Iraqi officials put the oil law into place. The advisor would apparently enjoy extensive sway over the Iraqi government. The job description includes assisting in developing a “tax environment conducive to domestic and foreign investment in Iraq’s key economic sectors, starting with [mineral resources].” The advisor would also review all draft oil laws created by Iraqi agencies, including those setting basic regulations for the oil sector. The job appears long-term -- it runs through July 2008 with an option to extend through July 2010.

I've often compared Bush to the likes of a mass murderer based on his lying to the public and witholding information from our legislative bodies that would have placed serious questions as to the validity of a preemptive attack.

I can't imagine how many times I have seen the same assesment and conclusion by many others here on Yahoo.

I recieved an email today from someone who disagree's, they have reported me to Yahoo and the FBI. They think I am a threat to the president and I have violated the TOS.

Did I?

Peace

Jim

Any guess on the salary range of police detectives? I imagine it's not much since there's such high demand for cops. I'm going back to school and will finish up my psychology major and want to go on to a master program in psych. Looking at each career field application.

Which candidate has the right direction for how to eliminate the future generations of terrorists?

I just see all this "lets kill them" stuff as not stopping future generations.

Government death squads ravaging Baghdad

Sep. 5- Death squads from the Ministry of Interior posing as Iraqi police are killing more people than ever in the capital, emerging evidence shows.

The death toll is high -- in all 1,536 bodies were brought to the Baghdad morgue in September. The health ministry announced last month that it will build two new morgues in Baghdad to take their capacity to 250 bodies a day.

Many fear a government hand in more killings to come. The US military has revealed that the 8th Iraqi Police Unit was responsible for the Oct. 1 kidnapping of 26 Sunni food factory workers in the Amil quarter in southwest Baghdad. The bodies of ten of them were later found in Abu Chir neighborhood in the capital.

Minister for the Interior Jawad al-Bolani announced he is suspending the police unit from official duties, and confining it to base until an investigation is completed.

It's now been 6 YEARS since the 9/11 attacks took place and Osama bin Laden STILL hasn't been brought to justice for the murders of the 3,000 who died that day, because Bush focused on invading a country that was in no way involved in the attacks instead of capturing the actual culprit and bringing him to justice. Thanks to Bush's actions, we are involved in a disastrous war with no end in sight, the global terrorist situation has been exacerbated, and Osama bin Laden is still a free man. At least if bin Laden had been captured, it would have sent the world the message that anyone who dared to attack the US would face dire consequences.

He waswho we were supposed to go after in the first place then we get Saddam. Next, we get embroiled in sending troops in Iraq to secure "democracy." All this time you hear nary a word about Osama until it gets time for 9/11. I am thinking within a month or two all will go silent on him again. By the way, for all who said he was dead...good call(yeah right).

The "market" drove prices up and people had electric bills of over 1000 dollars, and its clear these were inflated energy prices.

Perhaps government should be involved, to protect the consumer.
