Should they stay illegal for the next 15 years, be given amnesty soon, or something in between that makes them legal but not a full citizen??? These are the real two choices unless you take the law into your own hands.

In 1845, Thomas L. Nichols a doctor, dietician, Social historian, and journalist argued that prejudices against immigrants are unfounded; he criticizes movements in the United States to restrict immigration:
“The right of a person to emigrate from one country to another is one which belongs to him by his own constitution and by every principle of justice. It is one which no law can alter, and no authorities destroy, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are set down, in our Declaration of Independence, as among the self evident, unalienable rights of a person.” (Williams 18)

Why is Karl Rove so obsessed with Hillary? Is it because he has such a strong dislike of her and Bill? Or is it something more stomach churning?

The DMV can't post the infraction to your MVR until your "account" with them is balanced? If this is true, does it apply in all 50 states?

July ISM Manufacturing Report Comes in at 53.8%
Filed under: Economy, MSM Biz/Other Bias — TBlumer @ 10:27 am

The Institute for Supply Management’s reported 53.8% trailed expectations of 55.5% (link requires free registration).

That’s down from 56 last month, still in expansion mode (any reading above 50 indicates expansion), and slightly higher than the Bush 43 budget-responsibility average of 54.4 noted last month.

After a late-2006 and early-2007 hiccup, that’s six months in a row of expansion, and 48 out of the past 50. Also noted last month:

Only two other periods in the 60 years of the ISM Manufacturing Index have a (better) track record — August 1975 through July 1979 (48 straight months) and April 1961 through December 1966 (68 of 69 months, including a streak of 51). The Reagan-Bush years had a run of 42 expansions out of 43 months from October 1985 through April 1989, which included a streak of 33. A full history of the index is here.

Given relatively high gas prices, the soft homebuilding and home improvement industries, and the ongoing struggles at US-based automakers, it’s impressive that the index continues to stay positive. May it continue.

UPDATE, August 2: So here’s how the Associated Press played it, in an unbylined report –

While the U.S. manufacturing sector grew for the sixth consecutive month in July, expansion was the slowest since March, a survey said Wednesday, indicating that the economy is plodding along at a tepid pace.

Earth to AP — Manufacturing is only 14% of “the economy.” AP would be advised to chill on its premature e-celebration until the other 86% gets reported on Friday in ISM’s Non-Manufacturing Report.

do you think that President will do about the Iraq war?

-If he/she pulls all US troops out at once it will be a disaster.
-If she/he keeps all US troops in Iraq it will be a disaster.
-If he/she pulls half of the troops out but keeps half the troops in Iraq it will still be a disaster because the civil war in Iraq will be out of control.

So how will the next US President "fix" Iraq/the Mideast?

A pic I found unexpectedly of my second cousin (who I don't personally know) had him in uniform in Bavaria Germany where my family came from, wearing a dagger, SS uniform, the hat with the skull on it and on the cuffband, it had the initials "RFSS" Does anyone know what that means? What he may have been involved with? He later fled to Paraguay. Does this mean he likely did something very bad? I'm just curious from the info I could dig up but now I'm stuck. Thanks for your help.

I am a strong believer in civil rights. Why is it hard for blacks, latinos, and middle class whites to stick together? I believe the fight we must fight today is far bigger than our stupid racial differences. It really hurts me to see the youth of today fight against each other because of race! I also hate it when us minorities pick on white kids that live in our same neighborhoods! I believe we should stop fighting against our selves and use our energy fighting against a government that keeps us in poverty and sends our children to war! What are some Ideals to unite ourselves and change the world?

The wife of a friend of ours attempted to murder her sister in law. She put kerosene on her body and lit fire to her. Luckily, thanks to her brother, she survived the attempt. Now this woman is being kept in police custody.

We wonder however, what penalty she will get. Considering she is a woman, and knowing how biased Indian law is when it comes to women, we don't know whether she will get 10 years or even life imprisonment. She will plead in her favour that she has a 7 month old baby (whom she tried to kill on the same day by kicking)...

She is treatening her family in law every day, and even her husband is living in fear daily.

Please tell us what we should expect...

I know most of you so-called religious people haven't actually read it, but those Israelites wipe out and massacre practically every town they come to, and children are rarely spared.
No wonder America behaves as it does.

-We still don't have control of about 50% of Iraq?

-We still haven't secured the Iraq borders where terrorists & their supplies pore into Iraq?

-We've killed a lot of terrorists but Al Qaeda still hasn't been defeated in Iraq?

-We still haven't figured out a way to stop the suicide bombers?

-We still haven't stopped the Iraq civil war even though Baghdad is safer.

-The best we can do is create a stalemate in Iraq until 2009 at which time Bush can cut & run from the White house & pass the buck onto the next sucker..... I mean US President.

We left for our vacation yesterday morning, well last night about 8 pm the army called my hubby and told him he had to come right away, they are called in to help with the hurricanes going on around here, well my hubby explained we were 200 miles away and we payed a fortune for the hotel room....they didn't care, they said get here or you'll be arrested....ok, well then they call back and say ok be here by 9 am////so, we got up early early this moring and made it back and he got there by 9 am......well, now he is having to do extra duty and stay gone longer because they are mad he didnt' jump up and come last night like they wanted to...i don't think it's fair that he has to stay gone from us longer because we couldn't get back last night....sound fair to you or is this just how the army works?...i hated that we had to cut our vacation short, but this is his duty we understand that, but they shouldn't say it's fine come in the morning and act like it's ok but then make him stay longer

I had pawned something about 3 years ago, and needed to get some info on that item. I contacted the pawn shop but was told they converted to a new computer system, so my records ae no longer available. I know that they have to report everything to the police that is brought to the pawn shops, so would the police still have my records?

I am an African Amerian male. I have often wondered why do my ethnic group thinks the Clintons are God sent. As a person who excelled in college; I realize that the beauty of an education taught me how to think. This means I am not to be pigeonholed into believing that I should vote for a democrat SIMPLY because I am black. Equally, I am not to be pigeonholed into believing that White Republicans are evil and White Democrats are next to Jesus. Somewhere, we fell off the wagon and bumped our heads. Listen, Hillary is not your sister!! Bill is a country boy who has gotten the ride of a lifetime, and Hillary is a lying spoiled brat who has demaned that things go her way since birth. It is time that we stop the dumb stuff!!. The Clintons are not in love with us negroes any more than they are with hispanics. They are using La Raza as a means to an end.

As blacks, we must stop looking for masters. The Clintons' now have illegals to work on their plantations.
