-We still don't have control of about 50% of Iraq?

-We still haven't secured the Iraq borders where terrorists & their supplies pore into Iraq?

-We've killed a lot of terrorists but Al Qaeda still hasn't been defeated in Iraq?

-We still haven't figured out a way to stop the suicide bombers?

-We still haven't stopped the Iraq civil war even though Baghdad is safer.

-The best we can do is create a stalemate in Iraq until 2009 at which time Bush can cut & run from the White house & pass the buck onto the next sucker..... I mean US President.

The general will be a good soldier and report that all things are improving, that 'we're winning' and that we'll only need another generation or two to fully kill off the entire Iraqi population. Or, the general will stand up and be a mench and tell congress, the Bush Junta and the citizens of America that this Iraqi #$%^ up has gone on long enough. Then he'll resign his commision and urge an immediate end to our involvment in Iraq. Or, he'll fall somewhere in the middle to save his own @ss, cover for the Bush Junta just short of puking over his own words and suggest...not trumpet, that the 'surge' is working. I'd like to see the general tell the real truth...from what I've read about the man he's honest and honorable...let's hope he's willing to sacrifice his career as so many of his troopers have sacrificed their lives and limbs, and let's hope Bush and Company hears and understands and ends this pitiful war!

We know that the report will be written by the White House and Paetreus's contribution will be minimal.

It is no more than a document that will claim that the US is winning in Iraq and it is now time to start withdrawing the troops. Nothing more than a political document to make the Lemmings feel worthwhile....

In the meantime, we know that Iraq is lost, The whole escapade was a waste of American lives and money... the oil remains firmly the resource of the Iraqis and there is a bloody civil war raging... note the 300+ deaths in one incident last week.

Mr Bush is a spent force and he has brought his office into disrepute.

NO ordinary P has already advised anybody what his checklist is going to be an "ok." Our militarty efforts are being undermined via the shortcoming of political progression. in spite of if no troops are killed between now and september it may advise a factor except the Iraq government takes action. risk-free guarding the rustic is super yet we dont plan on being there indefinitely.

The main conclusion is that they need more time to evaluate the surge. A decision will be put off until January. In January, even if the report says we need to pull out, Bush will declare that we should not pull out of Iraq because it is a presidential election year. He will say that would be needlessly politicising the war and we owe it to the Iraqis to make a decision that isn't based on politics.

Nothing will change until Bush is out of office.

Mark my words!

I have no doubt it will be dubbed in the image of George w bush and "sugar coated" to show our "progress" in the terrorist nation of Iraq. Is it not amazing that George Bush has made Al Quada a Terrorist Army, when before the invasion they were merely a terrorist Group?

If you want the truth, don't ask The Great Deceiver, Bush, just watch your evening news. (not Fox, this is also a tool of the party of the color of blood)

Since Bush's people are writing it and it really has little to do with anything Petraeus has to say, I'm sure it's going to say that "we're making good progress but there's still a lot that needs to be done" to justify staying the course until Bush can pawn it off on the next President.

it wont matter. the pelosi/reid regime will still whine and grandstand for power. no reovlution is overnight and the out of control liberals will never understand the need for democracy in the middle east when we all depend on the oil. the only thing you will here is whining about foriegn dependence while new energy exploration credits are removed for new taxes cause...GOD FORBID IF THOSE EVIL MEAN SPRIITED OIL COMPANIES MAKE ANY MONEY...more liberal pap, no substance if you catch my point.

It will say whatever they want it to say and the media will back it up for the most part .

Whatever it takes to stay in Iraq .

Hey folks get it in your head that we are never I repeat never going to leave Iraq as long as it contains oil in sufficient quantities to be sold on the world market .

The same thing the annual pre-election war report has said every year since 2002. Is it a surprise nothing has changed?
