During WWII, when my grandpa was in Berlin, he stole 2 quite large Nazi flags. My grandpa recently passed away and we got the flags. We're thinking of selling them, but we don't know how much each flag is worth. They're both in excellent condition.

LITTLE ROCK - U.S. Rep. John Boozman said Hispanic immigrants coming to northwest Arkansas overwhelm police and courts with false identities, leaving warrants unserved and cases unprosecuted.

"There's chaos involved," Boozman told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday. "And along with that, the public is feeling they are paying for all of this."

Boozman, the sole Republican in the state's congressional delegation, said immigration reform would come only after Congress and President Bush listen to what he described as overwhelming public concern on the issue. Boozman said that he and others would view any plans to offer citizenship through fines as an amnesty that would overwhelm the nation.

"Now, does that make them criminal in the sense of being violent crimes and stuff like that? No, they're up here playing the system as best they can to feed their families back home or their families here," Boozman said. "There's no difference in these people if they have a green card or if they don't as far as the person's work ethic and stuff like that ... but there is a limit of how much the country can absorb."

Boozman's district is in northwest Arkansas, home to poultry plants and other jobs attracting immigrants from Mexico and Latin America. Census estimates show Arkansas has more than 141,000 Hispanic residents, as recent studies conclude about half of the state's immigrant population lives in the United States illegally.

Boozman said those illegal immigrants overwhelm police by offering false identities. The problem has made Social Security numbers and birth certificates marketable goods, he said.

"It is a problem. It is a problem now for no other reason than public perception," Boozman said. "The public feels like we're a nation of laws and there's so many little things, the DUIs, the knowledge that someone is working on an assembly line next to an individual who decides to go back home and they sell their identity to a friend."

In Rogers, which absorbed many of the state's Hispanic immigrants, officers have seen dramatic increases in the number of tickets issued for drivers not having licenses. Police Chief Steve Helms said of 1,443 tickets issued last year, 1,224 went to Hispanic drivers, as whites accounted for 193 and blacks received 17.

"It kind of goes into that perception ... that whatever identification they provide or whatever name they provide, it is really difficult to confirm that's who that individual actually is," Helms said.

Boozman said the influx of Hispanic workers also affects schools, where children of Hispanic immigrants speak what he called "jive Spanish" and need remedial help in their own language before learning English. Boozman also wondered what effect Hispanic immigrants would have on Medicare as they age.

"You're not going to be a roofer until you're 65 years old, working 16-hour days," Boozman said. "We'll pay disability for people who have carpal tunnel syndrome and can't work. Many of those people will become disabled. They'll become unemployable because we can't retrain them" because their level of education is too low.

Boozman acknowledged the need for some sort of visa system for visiting immigrant laborers. He said the system doesn't need to "necessarily lead to citizenship," as many want to return home after saving money. However, he said the increased focus on border security after the Sept. 11 terror attacks caused "unintended things to happen" _ like many immigrants to stay in the U.S. with their families as opposed to crossing the border regularly.

"It does need to be thought through," Boozman said. "The Senate bill just went very, very rapidly and basically they were trying to cram it down our throat."

One of the factors that contributed to the unpopularity of the Vietnam War and not having as many troops as was needed was the unfairness of the draft. There were many ways that people could get out of it, such as being in college and marriage.

In these senses the draft targeted lower class people.

During the drafts in World War I and II, these exemptions didn't exist.

Even if you supported the war, you still have to admit it was unfair that only certain people be required to fight it. The draft exemptions basically said that a person's life was worth less than another's.

Im referring to companies that pick up a vehicle (from a bar) and drive it home for you, for a fee. What type of legal problems could these companies face and what safety precautions do they use? Also, what type of insurance do they require?

True conservation is about using less rather than alternative means. Making a true impact means giving up and doing with less. If they are serious about leading the way to making change, shouldn't they set the example?

They have been deployed for 15 months and the superiors want to split into two weeks and then two more weeks later on. It wouldn't be a big deal, but they are stationed in Germany and it would be impossible for anyone to come home and visit family.

for the Presidency in 2008?

The 28%ers of the Republican party who would vote for Bush again if they could? Sure. But moderate Republicans? How readily, how enthusiastically will they flock to a candidate who's likely to emulate much of what Bush has done for the last 7 years?

Is it because Reid is a far left liberal and agrees with you so him being mormon is no big deal???? Why do you claim all mormons will vote mindlessly for him because he is mormon even though most mormons I know wouldnt ever vote for Harry Reid and he claims to be a practicing mormon? Liberals and dems claim to be the party of inclusiveness but then I see so many bash Romney because of his religion, yet dont seem to care that Reid is mormon because he is a far left lib. It seems very convenient to use the mormon card against Romney because you dont like his more republican views and yet ignore it in a mormon politician you do share political views with.

Seriously, i find people with kids joining the army and leaving their kids for long periods of time. (or worst leaving behind a pregnant spouse) Isnt there a greater responsibility in raising your own kids, than fighting in war? Why not let the single, childless men and women do the fighting. I say, kids come first, they are the biggest responsibility on earth. But why do so many people leave their kids behind? Why risk the fact that those kids may lose their parents? Whats the reasoning behind these parents decisions?

A man I know won a law suite and won over one million dollars he and his wife hurried to spend it and they did. They live in a 600,000 dollar house have special ordered auto' , boats 4 wheelers on and on. Now a social worker told them so they can get food stamps and medicaid to hurry and put their other property in someone elses name. It is ok with the 600,000 dollar house and the two cars they dont have to count them! Now is this fair when the rest of us have to work for every thing we have and pay a high price for our medical insurance?? Please help me let me know why our goverment lets these people do this and others that really need it get rejected.

some one i know was charged with rape and kidnap he asked me to print out a e-mail that was probably fake from the girl he raped and ex gf. The letter basically said i lied i hate you i hope you rot in jail etc. he asked me to give the letter to the inspector (i had no idea what he was being charged for all he said is that piece of paper proves his innocence and me trying to a good friend did it) he then told me that if it's fake i could go to jail, my friends dad agreed saying it was obstruction of evidence. I honestly have no idea where the e-mail came from i just printed it and handed it to the investigator the letter probably was written on my CPU by a fellow friend. What I'm I looking at? As in a jail sentence or is there any way i can get off I know I need to talk to an attorney but just for a piece of mind does any one know what might happen to me?

As posted by Ted Rall on July 31 on yahoo opinion,it feels to many of us that more and more traffic citations are being given. Many of us are on the verge of loosing our drivers licenses.I, for one, have driven the same way for decades ,with not one accident to my name.
Usually that means driving with traffic, not much faster or slower so as to maintain a smooth flow.

What happens when democracy says (for example on 285 perimeter Atlanta) the tax paying usually hard working popualtion vote with their feet to drive on average 73 mph .What happens to the large percent of drivers that go over 55 mph(stated limit)? They get screwed.

Limits have to be reasonable and must not be viewed as a money making machine.

The only far way to set limits is to see what the people do when no cops are around.Tabulate the data, and find out where the 2 standard (or 1.5)deviation point is and make it illegal above that.

Don't we vote for everything else?

Why don't more abused motorists speak up?

For those who didnt have a chance to put in there 2 cents...

If there was A Civil war Today and the opposing side was called "New America" which side would you choose?

New America:
1.-No one Race or Gender will be allowed to have MOST of the Money and MOST of the power .
2.-Free health care for all
3.-There will be just as many Positive views displayed of one particular race through the media as there are negative views.
4.-No communities needs will be ignored no matter what the racial majority is in that community.
5.-No electoral vote ,One person=One vote.
6.-Free college education for all.
7.-All Mentally and physically HEALTHY Adults without a job or not in SCHOOL,will be given one at minimum wage.If they loose that job they will be locked up and forced to work for free.like we do with prisoners.

That's all I can think of for now.So which one would you choose New America or the current "Old America"

Eagles
From the album Hell Freezes Over (1994)

I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' 'Don't blame me'
They point their crooked little fingers ar everybody else
Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat

Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if I gave you some cash
The more I think about it, Old Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers, kill 'em tonight
You don't want to work, you want to live like a king
But the big, bad world doesn't owe you a thing

Get over it
Get over it
If you don't want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, Get over it

It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You're makin' the most of your losin' streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ***

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it
Get over it
It's gotta stop sometime, so why don't you quit
Get over it, get over it
