A man I know won a law suite and won over one million dollars he and his wife hurried to spend it and they did. They live in a 600,000 dollar house have special ordered auto' , boats 4 wheelers on and on. Now a social worker told them so they can get food stamps and medicaid to hurry and put their other property in someone elses name. It is ok with the 600,000 dollar house and the two cars they dont have to count them! Now is this fair when the rest of us have to work for every thing we have and pay a high price for our medical insurance?? Please help me let me know why our goverment lets these people do this and others that really need it get rejected.

Any sort of handout given to anybody that isn't disabled is wrong. I highly doubt in this situation, the government would give these individuals food stamps and medicaid, but I can't say for certain they wouldn't. It is harder to get on welfare than some people think.

This is indeed crazy, isn't the lawsuit supposed to cover expenses. I would have to guess the man (and his wife) must both be disabled to even come across a social workers radar. This is insane that a social worker would want them to use resources meant for the poor. She should be fired and the couple should be investigated for fraud.

What those people are doing is illegal, and if our government finds out about it.. trust me they will be punished... I know its unfair, but people are that greedy that they have all this money and still looking for government financial...
And i don't get it, if they have all this money, cant they spend $200 on insurance, and do they really need the $100 food stamps??? SO yea its ridicules, but i hope somebody reports that guy.

That's why no one who is not totally disabled does not deserve one dime of taxpayer assistance
That includes, food stamps and health insurance subsidies

These people should be reported & prosecuted, along with the caseworker. If you know about this, you should report it. I would do it in a heartbeat. People like that make it so much harder on those people who really need this kind of assistance. If I knew who these people were, they would already be in jail.

Hiding assets or lying about them could blow up in their faces.

The social worker needs to be terminated.

these people need to be reported as well as the social worker who told them it was okay. they are abusing the system for which we all pay with our tax money. they are cheats. could be that the social worker has his/her hand in the pocket of the cheaters.

I don' t think the gov wants to give money to people who dont really need it they try their best to make sure everyone is honest. You should call your local DHHR (department of health and human resources) and tirn those people and the worker in.

The law and ethics are often at odds with each other. Of course it is not right, but it may be legal. That, I am not even sure of.
