Point one: condition of the items.
Point two: Depends on what the flags were for, Party HQ, Military or Civil use.
Point three: originality of the items. fakes do exist.
Point four: they were not stolen, taken as a souvenir.
Do an on-line search for militaria websites, if original they can be worth a lot of money, check out the item thoroughly don't allow yourself to be ripped of by some unscrupulous dealer.
Donations to museums have been known to get sold later, dont trust that your items will be there forever with a little note saying "these items were donated by the - - - family."
Also Ebay do not allow Nazi items such as flags, medals, etc.. etc... and not all collectors are Neo-Nazi's., some have a genuine interest in World Military history.
With regards the "capture" of these flags, if your Grandfather was in the American Forces in WW2 they did no fighting in Berlin, it was taken by the Russians.

RE:
How much is a WWII Nazi Flag worth?
During WWII, when my grandpa was in Berlin, he stole 2 quite large Nazi flags. My grandpa recently passed away and we got the flags. We're thinking of selling them, but we don't know how much each flag is worth. They're both in excellent condition.

Having left the White Power movement in favor of pure Odinism (non-hate-based paganism), I can make one or two recommendations, Stormfront.org. is a website supporting White Power ideals, and you may even find a buyer who will pool funds with other like-minded persons to raise your asking price so they will have it when they host get-togethers and white power punk rock shows. Set your personal feelings aside and approach it like selling anything else, a guitar, a classic car...etc, on line. Be assured that there are admirers of Adolph Hitler who actually are on-line-only-Nazis who have normal jobs and families and will pay top dollar for any original National Socialist (Nazi) memorabilia. They're not all meth-heads, not all uneducated drop-outs and, as with any on-line purchase, as long as you and a friend or two meet the buyer in a public place, you will not automatically be in any greater or lesser danger than if selling a puppy or a firearm. Common sense, common courtesy. Don't come with any non-white friends is the only special recommendation. Not that they would automatically attack that person, but they would smell a trap set by black bloc anarchists.

Due to the fact that E-bay exists now, the value of antiques and collectables has come down, since many hard to find items are easier to get now. Anyway, that blasted E-bay would be an excellent place to find the value of your flags. I see 'em on there quite often. Be sure to obtain some sort of documentation indicating they were your Grandfather's and where he got them. Really helps the value. Personally, I'd keep 'em. Your Grandfather did a very noble thing and those flags prove it.

There are several sites where Nazi memorabilia is sold. Approach with caution though as a lot offer reproductions. I believe you can sell them in the US, though anything with the swastika is illegal to sell in Germany. These are items I would think deserve auction if you can find a house who would. (Bad memories for too many) I personally, would hang on to them. You have a piece of history that is very rare as most items with the swastika were destroyed by order of the authorities. The "seig heil" salute is illegal in Germany. I know there were Christmas ornaments made with the swastika during the Nazi reign that are quite valuable, check the web sites, most of the things I have seen: Eva Braun's stationary, pieces of her silverware with the "butterfly" engraved the Eand inverted B. My dad managed to get a Luger out, but the flags are a find. Good historical relic. Hang on to them. I am going to check out some sights and reply later. Patti

Put 'em on Ebay (with a minimum value, so you don't get screwed -- just pick a number) and see what they bring. A real Nazi battle flag in "excellent" condition would be worth a pretty penny to a serious collector. Give it a shot. What have you got to lose?

I'd unload em fast the way Dick and George are playing I am afraid the once honored 'Stars and Stripes" are going to represent the same . All around the Globe. In great sorrow and why did we not stop them before it all got so out of hand? The writing is not only on the wall , if you go to the actual White House Web Site and link on Executive Orders, you should get chills up your spine as you realize nothing has been left to chance. It is all mapped out in gruesome details the complete end of democracy and all civil liberties. Not just Aliens or some abstract :enemy Combatants: No for every single American citizen, first they'll come for the dissenters. If it is on thing this administration despises it is democracy and freedom. I am not making this up , they tell you so. We are but one National disaster away from martial law...Mary....go check it out!

Most likely you could sell to some Neo Nazis organization, or some Neo Nazis on Ebay. I cant say for sure how much they are worth, it depends on how much of a nazis the person is. Maybe 40$ to 80$ and that is a rough Estimate.
