For those who didnt have a chance to put in there 2 cents...

If there was A Civil war Today and the opposing side was called "New America" which side would you choose?

New America:
1.-No one Race or Gender will be allowed to have MOST of the Money and MOST of the power .
2.-Free health care for all
3.-There will be just as many Positive views displayed of one particular race through the media as there are negative views.
4.-No communities needs will be ignored no matter what the racial majority is in that community.
5.-No electoral vote ,One person=One vote.
6.-Free college education for all.
7.-All Mentally and physically HEALTHY Adults without a job or not in SCHOOL,will be given one at minimum wage.If they loose that job they will be locked up and forced to work for free.like we do with prisoners.

That's all I can think of for now.So which one would you choose New America or the current "Old America"

I'd have to ask you to describe Old America because right now its seems that a lot of Americans have forgotten their Constitutional Rights and Responsibility and our Political System is hardly a Democratic system (lobbyists, smear campaigns, etc.).

If I had to choose based on your description of New America, the current state of America and what America is suppose to be, I'd choose Old America.

America is about opportunity not privilege.

I would choose the 'old america' if it meant America how it was created by the constitution, and not the tyranny we currently have running our country.

America, before the creation of the Federal Reserve.
America, before legalized warrentless survelence.
America, when people helped one another, and knew their neighbors. Not feared into isolation by overly violent media news.

America, 100 years ago when :

"The average life expectancy in the U.S. was 47 years.

Only 14 percent of the homes in the U.S. had a bathtub.

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost eleven dollars.

There were only 8,000 cars in the U.S., and only 144 miles of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California.

With a mere 1.4 million people, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!

The average wage in the U.S. was 22 cents per hour.

The average U.S. worker made between $200 and $400 per year.

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2,000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.

More than 95 percent of all births in the U.S. took place at home.

Ninety percent of all U.S. doctors had no college education. Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press and by the government as "substandard."

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.

Eighteen percent of households in the U.S. had at least one full-time servant or domestic help.

There were about 230 reported murders in the entire U.S. "

Yes, we have made some improvements since then.. but look. Even though only few graduated school, 8 out of 10 could read... Look at all the advancements & inventions of that period. Families supported one another.. Neighbors helped neighbors.. Women were not forced to work to have a second income in the household. They were able to take care of their family, IF THEY CHOSE TO DO SO.

Some of the ideas on your list go against the constitution. The reason there is an electoral vote, is to balance the power between larger and smaller states. If we did it only by population, three states could decide the outcome of a nation. We are the United States. All states deserve some representation in that system.

Here's my 2 cents. I like 2,3,4,and 6. I don't like 1 even though women control most of the money in America and I'm a man. 5 would be OK if people took their civic responsibilities more seriously, but they don't. I would, however, try putting some issues up on national referendum for a bit more democracy. 7 would mean we are owned by the government. We're already too controlled. Remember government by the people, for the people....? Don't ask me to chose between personal freedoms and equality. I want to be as free as possible and the only way we'll all be perfectly equal is if we're all dead.

Not bad but not good
1 Never happen. Someone always is at the top. So that means no Sharpton or Jackson?
2 Needs paid for
3 Good Idea
4 Good idea
5 Should be this way
6 Again needs paid for
7 So enslave someone? Not good.

I didn't have to read further than your first point, Old America. It is not the governments job to determine who has what, who earnd it, didn't earn it, deserves it, doesn't deserve it, etc, unless it is a civil action.

Oh Crap, I read the second one and I see you are a true lib/socialist. How are you going to pay for all this care? How are you going to prevent doctors from keeping patients for extended stays (for observation) when everything is fully covered. Did you know that in the US, the hospital stay for a laproscopic Nephrectomy is about 3 days, in japan, where they have nationalized health care, it is 30 days.

Alright, I like 3

4 has got its heart in the right place, but not the brain in practical reality. Not because of minorities. It doesn't matter if the people are white. If crime is high, school drop out is high, property values are getting lower, welfare is up, etc. To invest money in such an area above what areas without such problems in a way that is unfairly on the high end to the less productive area promotes less productive behavior in other areas

5 I like

6, not everyone is suited for college, and how are you going to pay for it?

7. Who is going to determine who is able? Otherwise, I like the idea

new america?

1. how will you stop them? will the government take what they make because they have made too much, and it is over whatever quota? so the government can decide who gets what? take from the rich and give to the poor? is that what this is about? that isn't new america...it's called communism...and it doesn't work...took to USSR...wait! there isn't a USSR....

2. free health care for all? who pays? someone ultimately has to pay, no? so who will it be? or will hospitals and doctors do it strictly for altruistic reasons?

3. you mean no more archie bunkers? no more ineffectual bigots? no more joey trevianis? no more "loveable but not so bright" guys at all? no more JR Ewings? no more bad money grubbing guys/gals at all, eh? brittney spears? no more white trash our kids ...and older guys can oogle over? just what? all goodness and light? could shows get anymore dull than that? or do you mean only caucasion christians will be allowed to play any of those negative parts i have just mentioned?

4. no community's needs will be ignored...humm...sounds expensive...again...who pays the tab? and who decides what community needs what? would that be....again....the government?

5. people in wyoming won't ever have to vote again...nor will montana, nevada, arizona, colorada...(except maybe denver) oh hell! most of the states actually...the big city folk can decide for us country hicks.....cuz' presidents will be elected on the coasts and major cities across the country...new york, chicago, boston, detroit, san francisco, san diago and LA will do our electin' for us...they have done such stellar jobs of electing mayors and such....what with the low crime rates in all those cities...and how well those cities are doing financially...

6. yet again....expensive....who pays?

7. so again...the government takes responsibility for "creating" jobs for people? government takes over every aspect of our lives..even where we work?

sounds like nirvana to me!

As far as number 7 they do that anyway in our current prison system.

on number 3 he said "just as many" he didn't say "only" which simply means for EVERY "james Bond" movie a company produce they need to produce a movie showing a minority who is just as WELL MANNERED and PROPER not some dumb ignorant stereo type.

They do have proper speaking black people in Britain and America you know.

As far as money In our current system we have enough money to pay for number 6,2,and number 4-

Yall don't let our current government fool you.We have plenty of money to do all those things.

The only reason why it's NOT being done is because one particular race and gender is making sure they stay in power by denying others at a young age what they need to succeed.

That way little blond haired blue eyed "johnny" as a baby don't have to worry about competing with Tyrone in the corporate world for promotions when he grow up.
