Hillary clinton or Oprah?

I know that drivers under the influence of alcohol can generally be more dangerous and idiotic than those that are under the influence of weed, but smoking weed still does make people slow and less quick to respond to things and can cause accidents, and depending on how the individual metabolizes it, they can have hallucinations and be more at risk to develop schizophrenia and be a hazard because of those problems. I know it may seem harmless to legalize it, but if it was legalized, wouldn't that cause a spike in the overall use of it by the general population and therefore cause even more accidents because people drive around under the influence of it? How can legalizing a hallucinogenic substance make it safer than when it was illegal, and how can we not expect there to be more problems if people start using it because it's not against the law?

And no pulling facts like "because there's no proof that it's dangerous" out of thin air. It's obvious that weed does have bad effects...

Or do you think it is bad for the party? I personally don't like it when, although rare, someone endorses the republican party. It angers me that just because they are in the spotlight that they think their opinion should matter more than anyone else's. The only exception to that is if they are directly involved in politics. Just wanted to get the other sides thoughts

The latest example of socialism advancing under the cover of environmentalism reaches us from, suprisingly enough, Texas, which will soon offer $3,500 vouchers to drivers of modest means to replace pre-1996 vehicles.

Older cars pollute more. According to global warming theology, each old car on the road could bring our planet a few fractions of a millisecond closer to apocalyptic doom.

Doom could be staved off a little longer if people drive environmentally ruinous yet politically correct hybrids, which is why you only get $3,000 if you replace your old car with a non-hybrid.

The Houston Comical reports that the "program is voluntary." That means you don't have to buy a new car, or take the free money if you do.

However, what is not noted is that it doesn't mean you the taxpayer don't have to provide the "free money", via redistribution come April 15.

What difference does it make if we help them rid Al Qaeda?

They pose as much of a threat to Musharraf as to the U.S.!

I have a squeek, its documented. The previous owner complained too. Its been over 5 years and they have NEVER fixed this problem. They claim they can not find the problem, but they can hear it, which means it could be a safety issue (it's unknown). When is it legal to sue? Or what is my next Step?

On the Taiwan strait, China wants to invade Taiwan, and the US forign policy is at stake in East Asia. China is the dominate influence in East Asia, and it's the matter of time US will go to war again. China has made threats against any country interfering. Taiwanese president if re-elected will make independence confrimed in 08-09.

If we go to war with China, can we still have our cheap products?

Who will win? How would we win?

America is powerful, but I dont think it's powerful than it was in the 80's and 90's thanks to Bush/CLinton/Reagon military cuts.

As a non-American, I find it hard to believe. The man has the 'gift' of not being able to put a simple sentence together.
This leads me to one of two conclusions:
1. Harvard is way over-rated.
2. Drugs and alcohol have fried Bush's brain.
Which is the correct one?

This morning on the news they talked about Illinois trying to make it mandatory for people to "shape up or pay up" AND
to "attend church or pay up" something about your paycheck being docked if otherwise. I am a christian woman but I do not believe in forcing people to attend church-you'd think that would cause more violence and church burnings, etc. Also how in the world can employers be allowed to dock your pay for being overweight or with other healt5h issues especially if they dont pay your medical bills or insurance?? One more thing, wouldnt these laws somehow be violating our constitutional rights- Equal rights and separation of Church and State or something???

Think about it. Back then, they had electricity and gasoline. They had jobs. They only had to worry about soldiers or secret police from their government invading their houses and carrying people away. Now they have to worry about being shot by Americans or kidnapped, bombed, shot or beheaded by one fo the ethnic factions in Iraq. Under Saddam, they had to worry about being taken away from their homes and tortured in an Iraqi prison; under U.S. occupation, they have to worry being taken away from their homes to Guantanamo or a "black site" in some other country for questioning under torture by American "contractors." Under Saddam, they had stability of a sort. After the American invasion, stability is a distant mirage.

If I were an Iraqi, I would be getting all misty-eyed and nostalgic about the "good old days" under Saddam. Life was simpler and better back then. "Freedom," "democracy," and the right to drink Coca Cola isn't all it's cracked up to be.

What are your opinions?

I was driving with my friend and the security company (wackenhut) wanted to pull us over, he had no lights so go figure. Obviously we didn't even know he wanted us to stop, so we didn't and at the entrance to the community (which is not gated because its public roads) another guy who was radioed ahead stood in the way of the exit flashing his flashlight signaling us to stop.

First of all if we stop can he hold us until the cops arive? What are his limitations to holding us if he is alowed.

Thanks
