No! Never confuse the internet with reality. People act very differently under the veil of electronic annonymity - generally much worse, though, in my case, for instance, I'm much more polite and personable on-line than IRL.

Mostly what you are seeing is how the cons and libs see each other on this site. Anger tends to overflow and at times can get ridiculous.

No... absolutely not. So many people on here (both liberal and conservative) are so uninformed and unhinged that they are nearly insane or just liars.

Most people in real life at least present themselves and their views respectfully and politely. I think the anonymous status here emboldens people to just lie and/or forget the actual facts.

The vast majority of questions & answers by conservatives and liberals on this site are not well thought out, intelligent or informative. They are mostly venomous put downs of opposing viewpoints and are meant to advance their own agendas

Both can appear pretty extreme at times because they cover the full spectrum of though in their camps.

No, not at all. It is fun to pull someone's chain and even go over the top with absurdity in answers. It is more for entertainment than seriousness.

I lean towards a no because participants in a political section are not representative for their group.They tend to be more opinionated

No. Judge by the people you interact with in person every day. None of these people would be this indignant in person.
