It has to be something more then mere presumption that you were responsible for her suicide that can be taken against you for abetment of her suicide. Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code provides if any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
What is abetment is defined in section 107 of IPC A person abets the doing of a thing, who-
First: -Instigates any person to do that thing; or
Secondly: -Engages with one or more other person or persons in any conspiracy for the doing of that thing, if an act or illegal omission takes place in pursuance of that conspiracy, and in order to the doing of that thing; or
Thirdly: -Intentionally aids, by any act or illegal omission, the doing of that thing.
Explanation1:- A person who, by willful misrepresentation, or by willful concealment of a material fact which he is bound to disclose, voluntarily causes or procures, or attempts to cause or procure, a thing to be done, is said to instigate the doing of that thing.
if any evidence is there against you regarding your instigation, intentional aiding or conspiring for doing such act by her of suicide then definitely you are in trouble otherwise by mere presumption that its because of you she committed suicide will not be sufficient for holding you guilt of abetment for suicide. Her death statement if any left by her, her mails, cell phone, records of SMS, some witness to state your any act for instigating her or forcing her to commit such an act, witness who have seen you conspiring or preparing or providing some material that will help her to commit suicide or providing any/all help for her committing suicide successfully. Any of this evidence can go against you for holding you guilty for this offence.

According to your question your friend has not yet committed suicide. Then why will her parents blame you. And if at all your friend is thinking of doing so , as a friend stop her. Tell her parents about it. As a friend its your duty to stop her. And if you are in any way the cause for her to think about commiting suicide it is all the more necessary for you to stop her.

If it's suicide it's really not ur fault. The parents can believe what they want, but maybe they should've payed more attention to your friend to recognize the signs of a suicidal person. Unless the police find proof that it was you, you're off the hook.

Yes you are responsible for it. Definitely. If you were my friend I would not think twice to puncture a hole in my head! By the way have you done something for her to feel suicidal? Did you promise her the earth and give her a kick in the head instead? Is your friend a lunatic like you too? Anyway good luck to you two...go for a walk and stop thinking of death!

If your friend is thinking about suicide you should tell SOMEBODY. Their parents, the police, teacher, preist, anybody you can get a hold of. Other wise you're not much of a freind.

If your friend DID commit suicide, and you knew they were thinking about it and you didn't tell anyone you are not legally responsible for their death, but you are still a crummy ex friend.

Based on how this question is written, it sounds like your friend hasn't committed suicide yet. If this is true, get her some freaking help. Stop whining about yourself and HELP HER.

If it is criminally ruled a suicide then you can not become in trouble with the law. But you may be sued civilly if you gave him the idea, tools or otherwise assisted him.

How could you possibly be responsible for it? People like to find someone to blame... don't let them get to you.
