Why do smokers feel angry that people dont want to breath their first and second hand smoke?

Why shouldnt smokers pay more for insurance...oh wait, they do. Does this also prove something considering they still smoke?

Should any smoker sign a waiver saying they will 100% pay for their own medical and not put a strain on health insurance or HMO?

Should smokers be forced to own air purification helmets that recycle the smoke into their body so that none escapes into the air?

I filled out a pet info sheet and told the apt. management I would pay the deposit in the next few weeks when I had the money. It completely slipped my mind, and they never called to collect it either. A third roommate just moved in, and complained about my dog because she's allergic. The sales manager said that since I've already broken the rules and not paid the deposit, I either get rid of the dog or be evicted, they wont let my pay my pet deposit. I can't live without my dog, he's my rock. I can't terminate my lease in anyway either unless I find someone to take over it, which is tough because NOONE wants to live in these apts anymore even though they are brand new. What would happen if I got evicted? Besides that it goes on the credit report. And are they not supposed to give me a warning, then fine me, if I break a certain rule in the lease instead of just evicting me?

The Bush regime has claimed it has the authority to suspend Habeas Corpus, and to ignore all 5th and 6th Amendment Constitutional protections (which as phrased apply to all "persons" and anyone "accused), because Guantánamo Bay Naval Base is outside US jurisdiction. Yet it also claims legal authority to enforce American laws within the same jurisdiction.

Can anyone make a solid argument -- based on existing law or even just logic -- that the US should be able to suspend constitutional requirements with regard to detainees-- but somehow still has the authority to enforce its own laws against those detainees?

In other words, how can the US claim to be able to enforce its laws in a place where it says the Constitution doesn't apply?

I am wondering why the U.S. consulate in Germany requires proof from the American parent as to the time spent in the U.S. after the age of 14, even though the parent was a U.S. Army dependent until 18? I was told that 2 years of living in the U.S. need to be proven. Why??? Could a birth certificate or passport be possibly be denied to a child born abroad? Doesn't time as a U.S. dependent count as time in the U.S., although stationed abroad?
Thank you for useful answers in advance.

The recent warnings and recalls about toxic toothpaste, tainted pet food, contaminated seafood and lead paint-laced toys from China haven't gone unnoticed by American consumers - the vast majority of Americans (82%) said they are concerned about purchasing goods from China in the wake of many media reports about faulty goods from that country, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows.

After all it is the red states that have had their guard units called up and its those red states that have had their kids in the military sent to Iraq .
Its the pulpit at church that convinced them to support this nations military over the years as good patriots and people who love Jesus .

The red states are the one who are sacrificing the most in this war and although they asked for it reality is a bitter pill to swallow . They think liberals feel that their kids deaths mean nothing if we can not declare a victory and win in Iraq .

Truth is all we want is to save the ones still there who we can return to their homes and families .
