Me!!! Before anyone freaks out and says it's because I am a "Con", read the following and decide for your self.
Overview of the Fair Tax
In place of all current federal taxes, the FairTax would place a 23 percent tax on the final sale of all goods and services. Exports and business inputs (i.e. intermediate sales) would not be taxed.
Individuals would file no tax return at all. Businesses would only need to deal with sales tax returns. The IRS and all 20,000 pages of IRS regulations would be abolished.
Under the FairTax, no federal taxes would be withheld from employees' paychecks. Social Security and Medicare would be funded by sales tax revenue.
Effect of FairTax on families
The FairTax would provide every family with a rebate of the sales tax equal to spending up to the federal poverty level. The rebate would be paid in advance and updated according to the Department of Health and Human Services poverty guidelines. Based on the 2003 guidelines, a family of four would be able to spend $24,240 annually tax free. They would receive a monthly rebate of $465 each and every month ($5,575 annually). Therefore, no family would pay tax on essential goods and services, and middle income families would be effectively exempt from tax on a large portion of their annual spending.

We need to do something because of the inherent unfairness. A national sales tax? A flat tax?
I'm positive you'll get some responses claiming the national income tax is illegal, unconstitutional or some other malarkey!!

Yes completely abolish it. Tax each State. Let the States decide how to tax their citizens.

yes, i am. i think they could get that money but instating a retail sales tax.
with income taxes right now we work almost 4 months a year for the government. no income tax means we keep the money we work for. a sales tax takes money from consumers, instead of workers.

not me we need the money but we need to spend the money responsibly and so far the congress( both parties ) have spent like a drunk sailor on liberty and what do we do for young children we give them an allowance lets say 10,000 each congress man and 100,000 per senitor ( it would be a cut from the millions spent on the " brige to no where in alaska ") that would be the maxamul money they could spend the can use that money for any pandering they wanted but that would be it
we need to control the spending of the sober congressmen ( and women ) who spend million in their on district pandering to their voters insted of doing what they where sent their to do help the contry

I do not. Infrastructure is collapsing at a terrible rate, anyone who wants to pay tolls for roads, private schools, wells and other things now taken care of by state and federal government agencies can keep their taxes, but they should not be allowed to use tax paid services.

Not I.
More specifically, I support a progressive income tax. (People who have no money don't pay; people who have some money pay some; people who have almost all the money pay the most.)
