George Bush seems to think we can win the war on terror basically by hunting down the top leaders, insurgents, etc. and killing them. What a stupid plan from a stupid man. We should spend our money on intelligence and go on the defensive end to prevent attacks. By waging war physically all we are doing is creating hatred toward the US and breeding new terrorists.

There are many suggestion in the past: Stop helping other countries with their problems, pull our troops out of foreign land, stricter immigration laws, reduce illegal aliens, tax the rich not the poor, reduce spending and borrowing within U.S. , stricter spending laws, a governemnt within a government to oversee unnecessary programs. There are so many arguments towards those suggestion but they have either been implemented and not worked or has been deemed inappropriate. What can we do to prevent more taxation? Are we doomed to have tax problem until the end of time?

I have advanced and done well in the military but these people still treat me like crap because I am a small guy and not too indimidating also I had no father so I am not to into the ego boasting macho crap. Id rather work on college, so this makes me unworthy to be in the military to them.

My divorce decree, withdrawl order and my child support has been coming out of the state of Texas for the last 8 years. My ex and I just got finished with a big custody battle. We are not stationed in Texas we where in Oklahoma and now in Kentucky. Since my home of record is Texas, does any other state have the right to come in and take over my child support without my consent or the state of Texas knowledge? I need some big help. My ex moved everything to the state of Oklahoma with no notification to me or the state of Texas and now they will not send me any information on what is going on. My child support is incorrect and they won't fix it because they say he made a payment. Any advice I could get would help. Thank you. Is there a federal Child Support Agency that governs over the states and how could I contact them if there is one.

Police: Fake Cop Targets Immigrants

POSTED: 3:27 pm CDT August 8, 2007

HOUSTON -- A man was arrested, accused of impersonating a police officer and pocketing thousands of dollars from unsuspecting illegal immigrants, officials told KPRC Local 2 Wednesday.

Jose Luis Montes Jr., 24, was apprehended on Aug. 2 and charged with impersonating a police officer, felony theft and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Investigators said Montes targeted immigrants who were presumed to be in the United States illegally. He wore a badge, gun and bulletproof vest when he approached them and offered to get their immigration documents processed for a fee, according to authorities.

The victims paid between $10,000 and $30,000, police said.

Investigators want other potential victims to come forward.

Montes is Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has short black hair, a mustache and goatee, and has a scar on his left eyebrow.

In the 2004 election 40% of Hispanics voters voted for Bush. As one of the articles show the Republicans have lost a some what large percentage of those to the Democrats , more than likely because they were offended by there stance on immigration. Currently the most popular presidential candidate among Hispanic voters in Hilary Clinton (59%). Historically the Republicans need at least 30% of the Hispanic vote to win the election. As you can clearly read in the first article 11% of Hispanics identify themselves as Republicans. 42 % of Hispanics identify themselves as Democrats. And 39% consider themselves independent.

So what can we make of this?

I have seen a lot of questions on here about the "coyotes" that cross people. Here is the deal: There are 2 types. The first type you pay in advance and you usually get brought in on a semi-truck, or in a boat or something similar.

The other group of "coyotes" are more like kidnappers. They take people that are trying to cross illegally at gun point and taking everything they have and holding them "ransom". They rape and beat them, threaten to kill them if they don't come up with x money. I have heard of them taking people out to the desert and the victim never come back.
The people that are crossing are nearly always "sponsored' by friends, family members, or businesses. Coyotes get 1/2 of their fee when the leave, the other 1/2 when they arrive with their passenger.

The "planned" coyote costs 2-3 K. The "ransom" coyote tries to assess how much you are worth. Usually charges a lot more.

Do you agree that we should "throw the book" at the coyotes for risking peoples live

This communications consultancy will exclusively serve nonprofit organizations working for peace, human rights, disarmament and nuclear nonproliferation, primarily in the US. It will be a networking hub. It will provide technical support to these groups as well as training in strategic communications. It will focus on helping them effectively articulate solutions to these international problems to a US audience.
The name should be brief, should make clear that this is a hub serving multiple organizations and should evoke that communications stratgeies will be provided.

I'm sorry, but I really feel that voting is a civic duty much like jury duty, and we cannot say no to jury duty. So should voting. There are too many voices out there that feel intimidated to vote and feel as if it wont matter, when it does. The Right Wing religious Republicans only stand to benefit if we all don't vote because the truth of the matter is, most people are more liberal than conservative, and that should be reflected in our government. This good Ole boy horse crap has got to end.
gone are the days where EVERYONE can go out into the free market and survive. With rising healthcare costs poverty, and poor education, there are people who fall thru the cracks and we being the richest nation on earth should have social standards so that EVERYONE does not have to live in poverty while others burn money in their fireplaces.

Picture if you will: Your company tells the State seven years prior an accident that crushes a 39 year old woman that the wrong epoxy product was used and instead of fixing the problem, they let it ride until someone dies and then blame it on you for it. Thousands of people involved in the big dig over the years and you are the only person implicated in a manslaughter investigation.

How many of you think that of all the people involved in the Big Dig, this was the only company that wasn't connected politically?

For example, doesn't it feel like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Rudy Gulliani, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are all nominated already? You know what I mean? I don't recall choosing these people. They seem to be already chosen for me thanks to the media's obession and constant hype. And all of them have pretty lousy track records and lack luster resume's. I don't know about anybody else, but, I feel totally jipped out this time around and that it doesn't matter who I vote for in the primary, because it's not going to matter - the choices are already made no matter who is the best for the position.

Does anybody else feel like me?
