Capitalist philosophy embraces open immigration because it expands markets and prevents shortfalls in labor supply which breed black markets in labor (illegal immigration).

Is there any logical reason to oppose open immigration unless you are anti-capitalist (communist) or just don't like foreigners (racist)?

A family who's existence was derived by Grandpa Joe, who was Irish mafia, a bootlegger / criminal. Joe bought the Presidency for JFK (who was no liberal- he was a capitalist and big time chauvinist, yet liberals identify with him because other Kennedys support socialism- TEDDY). The family is filled with drunks, druggies, bums and wannabe politicians who all represent socialism. Teddy was a DUI manslaughter'r, a druggie, drunk, womanizer BUT the only Kennedy successful at doing anything, you can't say Ted is not a powerful legislator, albeit socialist.

The media fawns over this family, who is the latter day Lindsey Lohans. Because 2 of them were murdered, the 2 have become martyrs. Both Jack and Robert betrayed the Italian mafia who had helped them so much, the media worships them and shoves them down the throat of the public, as if we all are not aware what a rotten, no-good group of elitist hedonists, the Kennedys really are (not counting Jackie or her kids, she kept them away).

I went to a lawyer blog website to find out if there are issues of a Union and fair representation. The lawyers that blogged in say I have no case. I find this hard to believe. I have an ongoing issue of harrassment with a coworker that lies to the UAW President and tries to get me in trouble. She has interrogated people I speak to and has spread malicious lies about me. The bad part is the UAW President is siding with her. When she makes a complaint and lies he will interrogate my supervisor and superintendent in an attempt to get them to say something he can use to get me in trouble. So far they have been honest and said I have no problems. This has been ongoing. When I have a complaint the UAW President shrugs it off and says he spoke to her and she said she didn't do it. I went to the HR dept. and was told that if I filed a complaint it would only make things worse. I am at my wits end. Any lawyers here who could help give some advice?

TRUTH: Many do. But record numbers of those wives and kids are sneaking over the border to join their breadwinner in the U.S. But most alarming, is the record numbers of dead-beat dads that find an easy escape from their responsibilities in their homeland and in fact abandon their families. There is also strong empirical evidence that even illegal aliens who had good jobs in their homeland still want to be in the U.S. -- most of the world's people want to come to the U.S. because it is a very good place to be for many more reasons than just for a job

What do you think?

Should we EVER negotiate with terrorists?

If someone unknowingly made a mistake. They forged a couple of signatures and made up some SS #s on credit card application forms so their fundraising group could get $$. Of course these individuals (about 20 of 200 were incomplete) filled out their names, addresses, phone etc. They left the signature and SS# blank.
Now, over 3 years later, the school's gov't is being audited and this person has to submit records from that fundraiser. What could happen?

It is incorrect use of the site.

The asker is not looking for the answer to a question, or even promoting a free flow of ideas, they are simply parroting an insult.

Would you be more comfortable discussing politics without the thousands of direct insults disguised with a question mark at the end?

I am the medic for our RSP, and I have to get my orders to my Finance NCOIC, perosnally. They never send them over from RSP. I would like to print them out, so I could just fill out my 1351-2 (Travel Voucher) and have it ready for when I go to my usual drill instead of getting there and having to find the time to get this all squared away each and every drill.

How on earth can Sen. Obama be criticized for saying he will never use nuclear weapons. Very few countries even HAVE nuclear weapons, and most that do - except the US - have a no-first-strike policy.

Shouldn't we be asking Sen. Clinton when she WOULD use nuclear weapons? To me, suggesting you would use nuclear weapons is a form of terrorism. Imagine if Iran had said such a thing - what would Hillary have said then?!

My unit (regular, active army) is forcing attendance to an event after normal duty hours and at which alcohol will be served. I understood at one time that no event can be mandatory if alcohol is being served, and I would like to be excluded from the event because I dislike being around drunk people. I also desperately need a regulation reference to help combat this problem. Any help is appreciated because I just get the "suck it up and drive on soldier" answer from my NCO support channel and chain of command and I would really like to avoid the vindictive issues that arise from going to the Inspector General. Thanks.

What I'm looking for is a citation of the specific law that states a citizen is subject to and liable for a federal income tax. Note that I am only asking about income tax. While the 16th Amendment does give Congress the power to lay and collect income tax, the 16th Amendment is not actually a law that lays an income tax. So I'm looking for some reference in the CFR or USC (probably in Title 26) or anything representing actual standing law, which once and for all states that American citizens owe income tax.

I've seen the argument many times over the past few years saying that there is no law. If there is a law, I would think that would be an easy answer to find, but I've not been able to find any law that requires an American citizen to pay taxes on what they earn through their labor. It seems that a lot of people have asked this question, but no one has ever really given a satisfactory answer.

Is it possible that we are actually tricked into paying taxes we don't owe?

We can look at other nations and see that their history's of warfare pale in comparison to our own. Most of the other industrial nations of the world have been involved in a war since World War Two. However, the US, through-out its history, has had a "war" about every fifteen years (I use the term "war" here loosely since we have not again declared war since December 8, 1941).

Could the answer lie in the fact that, currently, the US spends more on defense than the following ten nations COMBINED. Thereby, the US feels it must get some "bang" for its buck? Or that the Military Industial Complex must give itself reason for being? Hmm...
