Michael Savage had this to say on his July 30th broadcast

Savage asked, "Am I to believe there's no connection between Charles Schumer on Friday saying he would never appoint, or never, excuse me, approve another Bush appointment to the court, to any court? And then the chief justice suffers a so-called seizure two days later? You're telling me there's no possibility of a conspiracy by the Democrats to have caused this seizure in some manner?" He added: "Tell me it's not possible, and I'll tell you you're a liar."

If that's not freaking paranoid and delusional I don't know what is then

Whilst I fully understand the importance of their role in society, I can't help but think that their choice of profession stems from a feeling of inadequacy. My question is...what makes an individual think that they have the right to police others, I know someone has to do it but surely you must have an enormous ego to believe you're the man for the job!

George W. has issued more than 750 signing statements relating to issues such as use of torture, whistle-blowing by government employees and the obligation of the exectutive branch to give congress informantion. All other Presidents together until now have used it 600 times total.

"A signing statement is a written pronouncement issued by the President of the United States upon the signing of a bill into law.
There is an ongoing controversy concerning the extensive use of signing statements by President George W. Bush to modify the meaning of laws. In July 2006, a task force of the American Bar Association described the use of signing statements to modify the meaning of duly enacted laws as "contrary to the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers".[1]

Can some one explain this power more and is this a further example of his abuse of power?

i got pulled over 2 days ago for the first time for going 62 in a 50. luckily, i had my friend with me who is really into theatre and drama. the cop asked me if i knew why he pulled me over and i said, "yes, i was going probably 10 mph over the speed limit, but we just got done eating at a mexican restaurant a while ago and my friend is really sick" and my friend was crying and sweating and make-up was running down her face. he looked at my friend and said, "mexican food, i know how that is. i spend hours in the bathroom" and kind of laughed about it. he told her he hoped that she felt better soon and told me that normally he would have given me a ticket, but this would serve as a warning due to the "circumstances." he was surprisingly really understanding, thank God.

i want to hear your stories. :-)

Because of one moronic president, any conservative is being shunned by mainstream democrats. I heard someone today say "Well I like some of Ron Paul's views, but he's a republican and I don't know why they still support Bush." DURR!!! By having this black and white mindset (dem/rep), people might just unknowningly elect a freakin COMMI into office. Thoughts?

The 1970s are described as a period of stagflation, meaning economic stagnation coupled with price inflation, as well as higher interest rates.

Price inflation caused interest rates to rise to unprecedented levels (above 12% per year). The prime rate hit 21.5% in December 1980, the highest rate in U.S. history.

The economy suffered double-digit inflation, coupled with very high interest rates, oil shortages, high unemployment, and slow economic growth.

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan marked the end of détente, and I did nothing.

From November 4, 1979 until January 20, 1981, a 444-day period, I sat with my thumb up my arss while 63 americans were held hostage in Iran.

Unlike, GWB, when I ran for re-election I lost 44 states and was completely humiliated in one of the worst landslides ever…..because I was the worst president in history!

My years since have been spent supporting the terrorists in Palestine and building dog houses!

My Name is Jimmy Carter!

Kafeel Ahmed, 27, had been in the hospital for a month with burns from the alleged attack on June 30, which followed a day after two failed car bombings in London. The other man in the car, Iraqi doctor Bilal Abdullah, has been charged with conspiring to set off explosions.

"We can confirm that the man seriously injured during the course of the incident at Glasgow Airport on Saturday June 30 has died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary," said a spokesman for Strathclyde Police, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with force policy.
