It is illegal in most locales of the USA, but does that mean that prostitution is unethical? What do you think?

I got pulled over Monday 7/09/07 because I failed to stop at a stop sign. I know I didn't make a complete stop so I'm willing to pay the charges. This is my first ticket ever and I think the officer said something would be coming in the mail for me in 8-10 business days? I don't know what though.. the real ticket? More info on this citation? In any case.. it's the 27th of this month and I still haven't gotten anything.

Am I supposed to appear in court on the date it says on the citation no matter or what or should I still be expecting something in the mail that lists the charges?

I signed the little section that says: "Without admitting guilt I promise to appear at the time & place indicated below."

If I admit I'm guilty and don't plan on fighting the ticket.. do I still have to appear in court? Or can I just pay through the mail or something?

This is all so new to me so any helpful information would be much appreciated. Especially from those who have gotten this citation before.

and I lent them to him. Next thing I know he took off with them on his bike, Most likely to sell them to pay for some drugs. On the whole this pattern has gone on in the past. My brother is essentially an asshole. He abuses our parents and will screw over anyone he can and is un-remorseful about it. I know that the value of what he stole is relatively low but how can I go about reporting this as a theft to my local police department? What steps should I take? I need to do this to avoid this incident escalating to a potentiality dangerous domestic violence situation. I'm tired of him screwing over anyone that he can. It needs to stop. I'm trying to keep my cool right now. Can anyone out there give me advice on what I can do?

I was riding my bike down a busy road on the sidewalk. The road has side streets where you have to stop at the stop sign, then proceed. Well I am coming to an intersection and I see the driver pull up to the stop sign. I slow down to see if he will let me pass. It was sunny so I couldn't see the driver but since he stopped so suddenly at the intersection I thought that he was letting me go. So, I proceed into the intersection and all of the sudden he gasses it sending me over the hood of his car and I end up in the street. I quickly got up and I was fine. My bike was okay too. The driver just sat in his car saying profainities under his breath and NOT even asking me if I was alright. He was so worried about his damn car, so he gets out and is looking at the damage (which is a few scrapes around the bumper and the headlight) and I apologize and he gets back into his car and leaves. I live in New York and I know that the pedestrian has the right of way, but was this my fault or his?

I'd like to know what they check for in the physical exam, since I am considering enlistment. There are two major things I'm concerned about, and two more that I'm not so concerned about.

I received surgery for crossed eyes when I was nine years old. I don't have as many problems now, and my vision is correctible to 20/20 with a special prescription lens.

I also have eczema on my left leg and the back of my neck that I've been keeping under control.

There's also my two chipped front teeth and a 1.5-inch scar on my forehead, both from childhood injuries. I don't have any difficulties, but they'll definitely see that.

Otherwise, I'm fine. I'm of average weight for my height, have no serious health problems and have good physical and mental strength and endurance.

Then why did it take a Democratically-controlled congress to pass legislation to intensify anti-terror efforts in the U.S containing many recommendations of the 9/11 Commission? Recommendations that were made 3 years ago?!?

That University has invited only 4 Republicans to speak there. Those Republicans are Rudy Guiliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul.

Isn't this evidence that Ron Paul is a top tier candidate and is for real?

There are 2 ways to increase your wealth. One of them is through force, which includes crime, war, government handouts etc. The other is through voluntary mutually-agreed-upon trade.

Which of these is more efficient? Which one is the moral choice?

I am fully opposed ANY person coming to my country unlawfully. I do not feel any person that comes to my country “unlawfully” is; entitled to any of benefits “it” has to offer (including “Constitutional Rights!!!” – what’s left of them). I think universal health care is an accomplishable objective. I believe that my nation should lead by example and not by “power”. I think it’s an outrage that “we” let child molesters walk our streets, while pot smokers’ rot in prison.
I think I’m glad that my wife CAN shoot the wings off of a fly @ 35 yards - with a 357 magnum (but, a bit worried at the sometime). I believe my kids have the right NOT to pray in school or HAVE TO watch others do so;(including; Christens, Muslims, Hindu or, Devil worshipers), if ya do it for ONE, ya gotta do it for ALL. I believe abortion should NOT be used as a means of “birth control”, but should be legal and “safe” for anyone that feels they need one
Where do people like “this” / me, fit into the “Political Picture” of this nation we all proclaim to love?

Holding hostage operations, bombings, and threats are basically hoe terrorists gain power. The more we give in to fear of them, the more powerful they get. So what I want to ask is can't we give them a taste of their own weapons? Just by hanging Saddam is not going to scare them, we have to terrorise them as they have done to us.

(By Shelley Murphy and Brian R. Ballou, Globe Staff)
A federal judge held the FBI "responsible for the framing of four innocent men" in a 1965 gangland murder in a landmark ruling yesterday and ordered the government to pay the men $101.7 million for the decades they spent in prison. The award is believed to be the largest of its kind nationally.

I dont think America would win and it would knock america off its silly high horse.
The war would be fough all over american soil too this time as well as everywhere else.
Mexico would be a good place to be during that war.
