I am fully opposed ANY person coming to my country unlawfully. I do not feel any person that comes to my country “unlawfully” is; entitled to any of benefits “it” has to offer (including “Constitutional Rights!!!” – what’s left of them). I think universal health care is an accomplishable objective. I believe that my nation should lead by example and not by “power”. I think it’s an outrage that “we” let child molesters walk our streets, while pot smokers’ rot in prison.
I think I’m glad that my wife CAN shoot the wings off of a fly @ 35 yards - with a 357 magnum (but, a bit worried at the sometime). I believe my kids have the right NOT to pray in school or HAVE TO watch others do so;(including; Christens, Muslims, Hindu or, Devil worshipers), if ya do it for ONE, ya gotta do it for ALL. I believe abortion should NOT be used as a means of “birth control”, but should be legal and “safe” for anyone that feels they need one
Where do people like “this” / me, fit into the “Political Picture” of this nation we all proclaim to love?

Sorry for the garbled mess... But it’s hard to format and keep within 1000 characters and still ask “the question”

Wow, i actually agree with most of that.

{edit}

Both conservatives and liberals have scared me out of their neck of the woods now. I don't like any of the current presidential candidates as they all sound EXACTLY the same

I am actually 100% in agreement with everything you've posted. And for me, that makes me a moderate. Some of my opinions tend toward socialism, and I'm OK with that because - imagine this - I actually care about what happens to my neighbors, whether down the street or across an ocean. I don't think you have to fit into a political picture, in fact, usually, I am registered as "no party," but this time I registered Democrat just so I can vote for Obama in the primaries.

I tend to agree with a candidate coming from the left and shooting for the middle like Obama does, rather than Hillary and Edwards who come from the middle and shoot for the left to get the die-hard liberals. I'm personally ready to stop political bickering for the sake or having a difference of opinion, and trying to build on commonalities, like you've presented, to try and affect change.

Wow, I may not be alone in this world. I think I agreed with everything you wrote here. That may never happen again. There are a lot more issues that we could potentially argue about, but it's still early.

Anyway, it just means that you do not fit into any labeled political category, and certainly do not share views consistent with any major political party in the U.S. that I'm aware of. If the political spectrum was like a clock (with 9 being liberal and 3 being conservative), I would place you between 10:30 and 11.

You can try the Libertarian Party and see if you agree with them more than you do the Democrats or Republicans.

You are very similar to me. You are probably not a liberal. Abortion and religious issues are gimmick issues. Do you support higher taxes and bigger government, or less taxes and government? If the latter then you lean towards Libertarianism, which is conservative by the way. If you believe in govt controlled medical, more programs, more gun control etc. then you can call yourself a liberal.

I never felt like either party was a comfortable fit for me, then I found out why... I'm a libertarian. Here's how I found out, maybe it will help you too:

You appear to have gotten your image of the world and politics from TV, probably from a cartoon. Sounds about average for an American. You're probably in the majority.

You seem to be an intelligent, articulate American who wants to see his country become the best it can be. While I may not agree with everything you have written, you have expressed your views with respect and intelligence. For that I applaud you.

You fit into the category of common sense, which is the polar opposite of the political picture today.
