Noone should be poor or have to worry about the government saying something is out of budget. They can just make more money.

If the media really is dominated by liberal voices, as Limbaugh and Hannity and O'Reilly and others so frequently state, then the Fairness Doctrine would actually help conseratives.

However, don't the fierce objections of conservatives to this idea indicate that they know that the "liberal media" is really a myth - that in fact, what we have is an overwhelmingly conservative media?

I think so. Both parties lie and manipulate to get votes, And neither does the job they promised to do once they get in office.

Given the number of terrorists being produced by the US occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan (afterall, if some foreign power (eg...Iran) occupied the USA wouldn't you be a terrorist too?) it seems reasonable to assume that the number of attempted attacks will dramatically increase.

As it is, I am still in the DEP for the army. As of now, I have told my recruiter and sent a letter to my recruiting commander at the MepS station that I wish to be released from the army DEP to go to a different branch. How long does the process of being released from the DEP take?

Do they fear that if the conservative view gets out, they won't get votes?

I know you will say that major networks are run by conservatives... but that argument aside, most news networks are LIBERAL for whatever reason with the exception of foxnews. In addition, most large newspapers are liberal (NY Times, Wash Post). Why do liberals need radio too? Do they just want to saturate Americans with ideas that make no sense and have no practical uses?

Can they not handle the 'threat' of proper conservative views getting out along with theirs?

Seeing how most of them vote against their interests by voting republican, which in tern tilts the USSC farther and farther to the right, I would have to say so. Americans clearly dont care about their own rights

I mean, seriously. What's the point of political debate if you just want like minded people to pat you on the back and agree with you? Wouldn't your time be better spent, say, midget wrestling or something?

Internet companies have an invaluable role to play in the realization of freedom of expression and information. But in China and elsewhere, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo are instead aiding repression, censorship, and violation of fundamental freedoms.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard has announced radical new plans to intervene in remote Australian Aboriginal communities. This week he has sent Australian Federal Police and the Australian Army into these remote communities to enforce his new ideas. These ideas include the ban of alcohol and the withholding Social Security payments to Aboriginal families. The Aboriginal peoples are reminded of the Stolen Generation era. This has resulted in a mass evacuation by Aboriginal families who are taking their children and running scared into the bush with nothing but the clothing on their backs...........................
