Nope not 1. but according to them they need a raise in order to find more qualified law makers. I think that voters should be allowed to determine if they get a raise or not. that way they'll have more of a reason to do well. but I can give you reasons why the deserve a Pay cut.

This is one unfortunate factor in legislature. Lawmakers should not be allowed to determine their own pay scale. Perhaps they do need a raise, perhaps not. The problem is more about the actual beneficiaries voting on their own pay and benefit packages. Of course, the president can always veto any raise (Hmmm, do you think he will?).

I can't think of ONE reason they deserve a raise at all. They haven't done ONE thing they said they would this year.

4400 isnt exactly much of a raise :/
Also they dont get the money till after the next election.
