you're right enforce the existing laws and make the business that hire them PAY BIG...we would not have to deport them they'd LEAVE on their own.... our government is filled with thieves and do nothing politicians! I USED to be proud to be an AMERICAN citizen... now it means NOTHING!

The Government doesn't want the borders closed , because Industry and LaRaza don't want it to happen and they have more persuasion and influance with Congress and Bush then the American Citizens do .
People , we have to change their way of doing business with our Government .
We pay the bills and we should have say over what is being done in the US .
We have enough laws on the books , if they would only enforce them !
CLOSE the BORDERS , NOW !!!!!

I agree. If the laws we already have on the books would be enforced we would not need a new law. In my opinion only the new bill is a joke. How many are actually going to obey it? They ignore the law now and will ignore the new one also.

I can answer with a question. Where do the people that are elected to enforce the law get the money to get elected?
The old rule of, "Follow the Money" still applies.

The government is beholding to big corporate interests that want a cheap source of labor. If everyone started voting independent you could stop that nonsense in a big hurry.

Because businesses have money and the contribute money to political campaigns. If there was anything of buying votes for influence then this would be a factor. Everything comes down to money, who gets it and who doesnt.
I think it is completely inappropriate, these politicians spend most of the time gearing for re election instead of doing our business. Then they dont listen to us they listen to the businesses.

Because the business lobby has convinced Congress that they must have this labor. Who is going to pick fruit or put roofs on houses? The new immigration law is not perfect. In fact it is a rather weak compromise but something is better than nothing and I say we start with that and then try to make it better.
