Given the number of terrorists being produced by the US occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan (afterall, if some foreign power (eg...Iran) occupied the USA wouldn't you be a terrorist too?) it seems reasonable to assume that the number of attempted attacks will dramatically increase.

Short memory "BradX"....This sort of terrorism initially grew out of Middle East camps where whole generations had spent their hopeless lives. Remember Munich?

I wasn't referring to the movie (which I've not seen) but to the event. History has taught us that people put in intolerable situations will respond intolerably. The US may not have been identified as the oppressor in '72 but it sure has been now.

You seemed to have missed my point here. Military action of this nature results in more terrorism, not less; a portion of the Iraqi population will be mobilized against America just as the Israeli incursion in Palestine led to displacement, camps, and the Munich event. It would be helpful If you could stick to the issue and not resort to 'ad hominem' arguments. Thanks.

"My POINT is that they finally went ballistic with us over a friggin' PEACE TREATY!!!!!!!!" Then I guess you should post a question asking whether Camp David was the pivotal event that you suggest it was.
