Given the number of terrorists being produced by the US occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan (afterall, if some foreign power (eg...Iran) occupied the USA wouldn't you be a terrorist too?) it seems reasonable to assume that the number of attempted attacks will dramatically increase.

Short memory "BradX"....This sort of terrorism initially grew out of Middle East camps where whole generations had spent their hopeless lives. Remember Munich?

I wasn't referring to the movie (which I've not seen) but to the event. History has taught us that people put in intolerable situations will respond intolerably. The US may not have been identified as the oppressor in '72 but it sure has been now.

You seemed to have missed my point here. Military action of this nature results in more terrorism, not less; a portion of the Iraqi population will be mobilized against America just as the Israeli incursion in Palestine led to displacement, camps, and the Munich event. It would be helpful If you could stick to the issue and not resort to 'ad hominem' arguments. Thanks.

"My POINT is that they finally went ballistic with us over a friggin' PEACE TREATY!!!!!!!!" Then I guess you should post a question asking whether Camp David was the pivotal event that you suggest it was.

I honestly do not think that the Bush administration intends on leaving at all. I think another attach would just heat things up more. It would also re enforce why we are there in Bush,s pea brain. They are setting up house like they are going to stay. I am not sure that the democrats are doing anything about the war. That's what they were voted in to do but they are refusing to listen to the people.. Maybe the next president (if we have a next president) will get us out.
With all the new bills and laws the president has put into place we may have another Hitler on our hands. I only hope and pray that another country does not come to help us like we have helped Iraq!!!

Your question lacks logic and facts. Try to deal with facts. We have been attacked since Sept. 11th. all over the world, ask our allies. Somehow you war mongers forget our allies being attacked.
No one can stop terrorist, no one. They do the dirty work behind our backs. Only a fool like Bush or Cheney would think a terrorist would face our Marines in Iraq in a fair fight, they will not. We need to guard our own borders. We have 12 million illegals and Bush and Republicans want to give those law breakers Amnesty. How many are terrorist? BTW, If you were in Iraq now and standing in a crowd of 100 Iraqis. Could you point at the terrorist for our brave Service members? They would very much like your help with that. Also could you walk ahead of them and point out the IEDs planted to kill them? The occupation of Iraq must end.

Newsflash---those people were always terrorists....they just came to life once we were within their geographic proximity. Don't be fooled...the event that sent Islamic terrorists through the rtoof against us was Carter getting Egypt and Israel to agree to peace! THAT'S why events like 9/11 and every other previous terrorist attacks happen.
ps: What did the US have to do with Munich?? My memory goes a bit beyond Spielberg's version of history. I actually remember watching those Olympics. Do YOU?
pps: Again, you're deliberately blurring the truth. The Munich event was against Israel....militants didn't become a direct enemy of the US until the 1979 Camp david accords...THEN, we started to see the first US flag burnings in the Middle East...NOT BEFORE. If you can provide photographic proof otherwise, please do....but I already know you can't.
And another PS: I suppose the events of 9/11 were "tolerable" to you?

Your question...and responses to me...are all hypothetical and presumptuous. My POINT is that they finally went ballistic with us over a friggin' PEACE TREATY!!!!!!!!
They can't even be truthful about what REALLY irked them with us because they know just how f'd up it makes them look!

With Bush's and gOp's eyes primarily on Iraq and what others do with their sex organs,
our borders have continued to be porous for 6 mores years, so I think people who say "Bush has kept America safe" have forgotten 9/11. If Gore had been Pres, and 9/11 had happened, the cons would still be screaming that it was his fault.

The US will leave Iraq JUST before the presidential race for '08! Bush is trying to keep the Republicans in office.

Mark my words.
