Of these, Ahmed al-Haznawi was the only hijacker selected on United Airlines Flight 93 . His checked bags underwent extra screening for explosives, with no extra scrutiny at the passenger-security checkpoint. Since he didn't have a bomb in his luggage, he was not stopped.
