clinton was elected by a majority of those who voted, Bush was not. right off the bat clinton is more popular. Clinton represents the people, and he had to deliver to remain in office. he had to deliver poular - what teh people wnated programs. Bush represents the waelthies 1 % of the nation. the 1 p[ercent that owns over 50% of this countiry's assets. The people who have never had to go to a job, but merely vote their shares to make a living. Bush gave them what tehy wnated his first 100 days in office. Bush acheived what he set out to do within his first 100 days in office,i.e., lower taxes for the richest 1% of the country. since then it's been party time. But then this pesky war came up which decresed his already limited poularity. However I'm certain if a poll were taken of the richest 1% of the country; he remains probably close to 100%. Bush is not poular because he cannot rtelate to the general public, being a blue blood who has never worked a day in his life, and he doesn't care.

Maybe when people wake up and stop all the Dem vs Rep arguing and realize that all politicians are really only in it for themselfs and have really done little to help out Americans or America for that matter and we all vote in some independants or something to shake them up a bit then we will truely get a good president.

All I see is more of the same stuff different day no matter who is in office lately. Government was never supposed to be this big or be a full time career for people but we just keep letting it happen. We all need to wake up some.

War. We weren't at war in Clinton's administration. War has always caused presidents to be rediculed and made fun of. Look at Lyndon B. Johnson and George H.W. Bush. And look at Carter's ratings after the hostage situation.

Clinton's administration was mostly free of distress. He had nothing as impacting as the September 11th Tragedy or the Hurricane Katrina Catastrophe.

Because he was better looking, told people what they wanted to hear, and didn't have any policies that were strong enough to have an opposing view. Bush was elected because the majority of the people wanted a president who would actually do something other than play around under his desk with his aides.

During his presidency there was the biggest growth in the Economy since WWII. With Bush there was and is a war. There usually is a great deal of resentment against a president who takes his country to war. No matter what the circumstances.

The short answer is because he was a better president.

The longer answer is that he was a better speaker and was better able to explain his ideas to people. He was easy to listen to, you could understand him. He didn't need a staff of people to tell him what he thought on issues, he had his own ideas and could discuss them in his own words.

Clinton listened to experts before deciding what to do, instead of just deciding what to do first and then firing experts who didn't support the decision he'd already made. Bush is unable to admit, even to himself, that he's made a mistake, and as it grows more and more obvious to everyone else, Bush looks worse and worse.

Another reason is that the Republicans kept Clinton honest, they didn't let him get away with stuff. The Democrats aren't doing that with Bush, he is completely out of control. That's why Democrats make better presidents and Republicans are better as the 'loyal opposition'.

Well he was a lot more poular with the women and the cigar makers. And people with no moral values had a great example to follow. If he was such a great president maybe someone can tell us what he accomplished during his 8 years in office. And please don't say he promoted white watering.
