I am confused. The Senate is voting today on the reform bill that could make 12-20 million undocumented workers legal BUT I also read that people who committed felonies were not eligible. So... if they have entered the country illegally, falsified the I-9 government form to get hired, stole, bought or used a social security number that was not thiers.... HOW in the heck would anyone qualify anyway? Are these "little" identity theft and government offenses going to be overlooked? I am all for legal immigration but I am wondering how many of the 12-20 million would qualify if these issues are dealt with first. Will they be? It seems unfair to the people who did come here the legal way and now may have to GET IN LINE behind people who only care about getting what they want at the expense of others. Those are not the people I think will make good Americans.

Communist like Senator Kennedy want blanket amnesty for all but hopefully the other legislators will have more sense and let in people that will be good for the country. No matter what plan they do come up with it will be some kind of amnesty. My biggest concern is protecting our border, keeping out criminals and terrorists and keeping the number of immigrants down to a manageable level. We cannot afford to take in more immigrants than we can provide services for and these new immigrants will require some assistance from the government. We have to be realistic, we cannot take in the whole world. But , even when/if this moves from the Senate, it still has to go threw the House, and what they'll want no one knows yet. So, don't worry, yet. Peace

The word means countless issues to distinctive human beings. working example, the invoice positioned forth by Rep. Luis Gutierrez is decried by the final as blanket amnesty. those on the left see it as punitive and humiliating by way of fact it forces human beings to pay fines and study English. So the place you're politically has a brilliant consequence on what those 3 little words propose to you. The Nativo Lopez college of activism is stressful entire legalization plus a "streamlined equipment for all destiny waves of migration", this is in reality only erasing the borders. The fringes are so severe in this argument that they twist the words into pretzels to make their factors.

# 1, so I'm i. # 2,if you are i committed one of the felonies you mentioned, such as falsifying government documents we would go to jail. but i don't think the gov. intends to include those felonies. after all they just broke those laws so they could git a better life & there fiar share of the american dream. besides then they would have to charge an convict them. and that would take way too much of the courts time and our tax money. so no they will probable over look those small insignitacant felonies. don't you think?

Yes,they will all be overlooked. And the issues of crimes these people committed will not be dealt with. Just an open cattle call to sign up for your legal status and you'll be good to go. Felons, child molesters, drug runners, gang members,id stealers...all welcome to become legal to live and work in the USA.

It's a sham. ANYTHING that is being shoved down the throats of the gullible AmeriKan people by that Arrogant President and the PAID-FOR-BY-BIG-BUSINESS Congress and Senate with a TOTAL DISREGARD of just WHAT those same gullible AmeriKans have said repeatedly they don't want...

IS NOT GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY... it's good for big business and it puts millions of dollars in the pockets of the politicians... but it is NOT in the interest of the AmeriKan people.

They're lying to us. This bill is a full amnesty that favors millions of criminals and America haters but all they (Bush, Kennedy, Reid and their iquals) care about is the votes they can get from this crimimals and anti-american crowd in the future.

I agree, I'm for legal immigration, too! but as you so aptly said, many of these illegals have committed many crimes against our nation and they don't deserve to stay or ever have a chance for citizenship at all.

Sorry but it's 20+ ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS. It's important to correct your terminology since "undocumented" doesn't indicate that they are criminals for breaking the law.

Did you hear how "Jorge" Bush called the Senate pile of crap amnesty? At least he got one thing right today.
