If you hired a bail bond company, no.

The way bail works is that someone has to put up cash or assets in the amount of the bail. For bail, $500 is $500.

If you hire a bondsman, they put up the bail, and you pay ten percent as a fee. For that, a $500 bail is a $50 bond fee, which you will never see again whether the charges are dropped or the person skips.

The government will return the bail, but the bondsman will not return the 10%, that's how they stay in business.

Yes, when they go to court. That is the whole point of bond and bail.
