What about all of those people who serve like 20 years because the DA and crime labs falsified evidence. At least one of those people get out of jail every week. I would be pissed if I was those guys but that DA is a school boy compared to some of those crooked DA's who knowingly convict innocent people. Some of them received life sentience and even the death penalty.

I'm not going to bring race into this friendly debate because the issue will get lost. So lets even if it's justified leave it out of this one.

What is rare about this case is that the DA faced sanctions for what he did. Take a look at some of the 124 cases where innocent people were sentenced to death and finally exonerated. In most of these cases, the DA continued to block admitted evidence of innocence.

This case does illuminate the way in which a charged community atmosphere after what seems to be a horrible crime can lead to a gross miscarriage of justice. (This applies to just about every homicide case.)

Those white boys would have gotten away with that even if they were guilty. Remember this... Black Robe, White Justice. They need to move on ... let the crime fit the punishment for that man and get over it. Many a Black man has been falsely accused of crimes and nothing was done to the DA, the people who swore he was guilty, or the judge. Look at all the brothers on Death Row that are innocent and just don't have the cash on hand to get the help they need. Those were rich white boys... that is why there is such a big deal. God forbid the tables were turned and they were Black and the stripper was White... Ya'll share that...

Because it simply comes down to the fact that the government does not give a crap, and a lot of times neither does the comatose general population. What we have is a system where over-zealous D.A.s and cops hamstring people just for the sake of closing cases, the evidence(or lack there of) becomes irrelevant. Also we have crime labs that can essentially manufacture evidence to make it fit into any scenario they deem fit. Its all bullshxt. Is that to say that rapes do not occur? Absolutely not. On the other hand, it is alarming how many convictions are being overturned due to DNA testing. The problem with a lot of people is that as soon as they hear the term "rape" they're ready to grab their torches and pitch forks set out to hang the first person they see, simply because its the politically correct thing to say/do. Also, if a woman gets really pissed off at a guy for whatever reason, it is very easy for her to simply throw around alligations like its nobody's business. Its just yet another double standard that we have to endure.

You are correct. This case was thrust into the spotlight though because of the racial overtones and the location. Rich caucasians at Duke and a Black stripper. Had it happened in Queens to a group of average black guys and a black stripper, you would have never heard about it and they would be doing time. Sad , but true.

I agree its the win at all cost attitude that rules many DA's.
