Have we gone too far the materialistic way as a country?

Are we 'desiring' ourselves into a self made crisis through global warming and dangerous personal financial debt and loss of the important things in life as a nation?

Do you really need to live in a 6,000 sq ft $300,000 home and drive a $40,000 vehicle that pollutes the air and buy your kids everything they want?

How can we bring perspective back to our country?

We live in a world where half the women are dieting and the other half are starving.....something's wrong there!!!!

I have been wondering this... if the US has 'separation of church and state' then why do our coins say 'In God we Trust"?

Imagine if a state - any one state - were to completely legalize marijuana. As available as a pack of cigarettes in any corner store or super market. There would certainly be an influx of new arrivals and possibly an exedus of some present citizens.

Now - TRUTHFULLY - imagine what that state would be like in 5 or 10 years from now.

Now extrapolate that to the country as a whole.

Why is the bias of society about sexuality and what is acceptable even a consideration?

No one tells anyone what religion they can or cannot believe in!

If this is about religion......none of us are God ....isn't God the judge?

Homosexuality isn't a crime in the U.S.!

Why can't we let people live as they are?

Is anyone aware of how many people marry heterosexually and participate in homosexual relationships on the side because it's who they are?

How does someone else living an alternative lifestyle from you harm or lessen yours?

Being in my late 20's, I can only speak for the last 4 Presidents who had taken office. Rank them from greatest to worst, and why you chose the #1 President.

Reagan ( 2terms ), Bush Sr. ( 1term), Clinton ( 2terms ), GW Bush ( 2terms)

I was given a ticket at school by the campus police. It was cited for "head in parking" I never even knew that was "illegal."\
I know most people are not even aware of this. No where outside the student parking does it say that "head in parking" is mandatory. On my ticket there is a code for violating head in parking but how would I know that I violated that if I didn't even know of such a law. Is there any loophole that can allow me to fight this ticket because like I mentioned no where in the parking is it stated that you must park head in.

It's probably a stupid question to ask knowing how patriotic Republicans are and how they would only trust an American-owned news outlet to reinforce their political views.

Or are you people so freakin selfish that we can't even have one without a whole bunch of liberal belly aching? You sound like a bunch of kids who can't stand for any other kid to play with their toys.

and pull out of Europe and let Russia,China and the muslims fight over it?

Libertarian Foreign Policy

American foreign policy should seek an America at peace with the world and the defense -- against attack from abroad -- of the lives, liberty, and property of the American people on American soil. Provision of such defense must respect the individual rights of people everywhere.

The principle of non-intervention should guide relationships between governments. The United States government should return to the historic libertarian tradition of avoiding entangling alliances, abstaining totally from foreign quarrels and imperialist adventures, and recognizing the right to unrestricted trade, travel, and immigration.

Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?

I'm just wondering. Seems since America is such a wonderful land, and the leader of the free world, this should be attainable.

If you have insurance, it's ok. My daughter just broke her arm, and it has been a fairly painless process for us (well, not her...she is broken!)

What about the uninsured folks?

What's your take on this American issue?
