"The phone rang in the District of Columbia's busy 911 emergency hot line center as it does hundreds, sometimes thousands, of times a day. A burglary was in progress at a private home. The police department employee who handled this particular call assured the caller assistance wa on its way. But instead of getting the high-priority code a crime in progress is supposed to get, the dispatcher assigned a lower priority to the call. When police officers finally arrived at the scene of the burglary, they failed to make a thorough check of the building and left without discovering the two burglars, who by this time had raped a four-year-old girl adn forced her mother to commit sodomy. The victims' neighbors, two women who lived upstairs, made a second 911 call again receiving assurance that help was on the way. No help ever arrived. For the next fourteen hours, the intruders held all the occupants of the building captive, including the two women who lived upstairs,They were all rapeThey were all raped, robbed, beaten, and subjected to numerous sexual attacks.
So, you think the government will protect you, without you having guns. THEY WON’T. You’re not taking my guns till you pry them from my cold, dead, fingers.

Who becomes "fat" on deployment and who gets "buff"
I've been to the middle east on many deployments and this has become a trend. Now that I've retired and no longer deploy, does anyone still see this happen?

So many people are quick to say Bush. They are either ignorant of history, or slept through the 70's.

- gas prices tripled in most places and long lines at gas stations.
- Inflation killed the economy reaching a staggering 21%.
- Unemployment was at the highest levels since the great Depression above 8% nationally, 11% for Blacks in most places.
- the military was in shambles, had no money for training or spare parts.
- the moral in the military was lower than it was during the Viet Nam war.
- the Dow Jones was microscopic compared to today, 4-600!
- the government stole the Olympic dreams of the American athletes by not letting them go to the Moscow Games, even though they had not given one penny to support those athletes in their training.
- allowed 52 hostages to be held for 444 days by Iran!
- got a Nobel Peace Prize for brokering a peace deal that did nothing but hurt Israel and strengthen the Arab terrorists.

He said that one of the gangs is called DTO - "Dykes Take Over" - and that they rape young girls and coerce them into their gangs. This is meant to be a phenomenon in neighborhoods where there are a lot of people on welfare. They are also using Glock Pistols painted pink.

My childs father has a child support order he does not pay, ever, The baby is now 3 and he lives about 1500 miles away. He told me he is going to go to court and term his own rights so he doesn't have to pay because, "he can't afford it" He has other kids and takes care of them. He said he can tell the judge that he abandoned her?? Can he just walk if he feels like it? I can't imagine he can if that was the case wouldn't every father who owed money do it??
I'm so angry it's not funny right now because it's bad enough the order is for 178 a month, which is just stupid but then he wants to tell me he just can't and has to take care of his family. WTF???!!?? She is his famliy too!!!!! Sorry, I'm mad : )

How do you feel about this? Forget Iraq, Immigration but these huge financial corporations who pay less than a 15% tax already as we pay 30-35% support Presidential candidates. Each currently in the Senate. A vote is to be taken whether to increase their taxes. Is this a conflict of interest? It was on Good Morning America ABC NEWS this morning, Friday.
Do brave soldiers mean so little as these money folks are on the agenda and they are not? Each day they die for politicians to work on personal gain and agenda. Shame on them.
What do you think? Appreciate solid feedback and comments only please.

Does anyone on this forum really believe that if your candidate gets placed into office as president, that it will really make a difference?

Let's be hypothectical and say that Ron Paul or my candidate, Thompson gets into office or any candidate for that matter. Just how much power will these people have to change anything with the representatives that we have running the hill?

Isn't it time that we began seeking out representatives who might be able to save this country? People who will support term limits thereby, not giving these hooligans the time to be bought by special interest groups? There really isn't a danged thing that will change unless, we start with a clean slate.

Agree or disagree and why?

As many U.S. Troops as possible ?

I Love having BBQ's and having loads of friends over to enjoy and I consider the troops to be Friends as well . I think it'd be Great to be able to invite them over for some fun and R+R . And sometimes I feel guilty that I 'can' and they can't .

So every time you go to the movies , have a bbq , go fishin , play golf , go on vacation , attend a festival or concert. . .you should pause for a moment and remember those who cannot . Especially those who cannot simply because they're protecting YOU .

Doncha think it's be great to host a BBQ for our troops ?

A recent Newsweek/Gallup poll show's Bush's Job Approval rating is now 26% which is lower than Carters lowest (28%) and fast approaching Nixons (23%). No wonder conservatives are running away from him. Oh no, forget it, they're not running AWAY from Bush, they're running TOWARDS the future, right?

Here in Indiana we just aren't feeling the love as far as the economy goes. I noticed yesterday that a local farmer who grows mums for commercial use has scaled back his operation by more than half. It appears to me that he did his homework and decided that with gas prices and the current draught in this area, mums might not be on the top of everyones list as needed items this fall. He had a contract with Wal-Mart also so it's a possibility that could have come into play.

Mitch Daniels (our gov) would have people believe that Indiana is just peachy but I would argue that. Thousands of manufacturing jobs have gone south or overseas (my husband's included.) All Mitch wants to do is sell off chunks of the state: The Indidana Toll Road. He has outsourced the local prison to a contractor that donated to his election campaign (imagine that). Recently there was a riot there by Arizona inmates brought in to fill the prison. The riot occured just about 1 month afer they came.

Isn't it time they started taking responsibility for the success of their own community, instead of worrying about racists?

Ever since the first Asians arrived in America, there has been anti-Asian racism. This includes prejudice and acts of discrimination. For more than 200 years, Asian Americans have been denied equal rights, subjected to harassment and hostility, had their rights revoked and imprisoned for no justifiable reason, physically attacked, and even murdered

But you don't see Asians whining and complaining. They excell academically and let the racist naysayers rot in their own manure.

Isn't it time the blacks followed suit?
