I've been reading some General Patton biographies and I am interested in great military victories. If anyone can recommend some good reading on past military victories and strategies I would appreciate it,

how those who favor amnesty, or path to citizenship, as they are fond of calling it, always oppose any talk of mandating a secure border first before talk of pardonning the law breaking illegals.
The biggest fear of most americans I think is that they only want to scam us into granting the amnesty plus get their new guest worker programs and still have big holes for a new wave of illegals to flow through. In other words, they have no intention of securing the border at all.

Any one else sees it like I do??

I was wondering what sort of 'red tape' I'd have to get through to move myself and my two children to Australia. Their father and I were never married, I think by Arizona law I have sole custody (correct me if I'm wrong), he's on their birth certificates, he (we) only lived with our first born for 5.5 months, never with our youngest -- I've always been the primary caregiver. He rarely sees them, though he does have some interest. We have no legal agreements (though he's been threatening me with "something"). At the time of the move, they will be about 5.5 years and 6.5 years old. He is the type of person to try and make it impossible for me to do this. What chance does he stand? What might I have to go through to make this work? I can think of plenty of reasons why Australia would be beneficial: Safer, lower cost of living, high quality of living, friendlier people, good school systems, low unemployment rates, less crowding, plus more! Thanks so much!

He has broken with the Republican Party.

I'm a lifelong Republican who went independent for a while after the 1964 elections. I agree with most of the stated principles of the GOP. But I am totally disappointed in many of the elected officials in the party. (I am okay with the President, however, even though I don't agree with him on everything.)

Seems about all the Republican Party can do these days is hit me up for donations. I would like to see them deliver on such key issues as national security, immigration, Social Security reform, and a long-overdue overhaul of the income tax system.

Bloomberg may be serving himself above the public, but I just might agree that the GOP just hit the iceberg and is going down fast.

What do you all think?

(I would not align with the Democrats on a bet.)

I'm Jewish from the US. My boyfriend is not Jewish; he's an Australian Christian. How are people doing these days with getting their nonJewish spouses (we'd marry) into permanent residency in Israel when they make aliyah? Is this very difficult? Also, can such a person have three citizenships (he's a dual citizen with New Zealand already)? Thanks!

Senate and the House. Is this information public or posted anywhere? I am interested at the power these guys have to influence world affairs and the link to whether they are well-traveled or not.

I'd also be interested if there was any other passport info on different branches or agencies. But this question was the initial bet: he says less than 10% don't have a passport , I say more than 10% don't have them (I wouldn't be surprised if it was as high as 25%).

Thanks.

She lives in Virginia, if that helps, and I'm looking for any laws, statutes, or policies which would guarantee her right to an education -- her family will not support her, or her baby, so she may be forced to find somewhere else to live with the child. She is worried about her schooling, for obvious reasons.
There may not be anyone to care for baby when she is at school; could she be kicked out if she brought baby with her? The school does not have a daycare service. Are there any laws in the area which support her? Does the government offer any type of assistance for teen mothers who are still in school? [daycare, specifically]
Well, you can see the dilemma; any advice or information offered is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My best friend, 19, is dating a 39 year old. Her girl friend has been in trouble multiple times with the law and is now on probation. Recently I discovered she is buying alcohol for my friend, who just got out of rehab, and smoking meth with her too. I don't know what to do...
My question is this; if I were to tell her probation officer what is going on, how would they know that I'm not making it up? And could she actually get in trouble unless she was caught in the act?

I filed a response to my ex-wifes Petition for the Out-of-State Registration of Child Custody/ Visitation and Petition Affecting Parent-Child Relationship. I filed it with both courts and just received a note from the court where I reside that they decided to file it as a Petition not a Response. I'm not sure what this changes. Is it for jurisdiction reasons? I'm having trouble researching this.
Thank you in advance

Indian law claims to be equal towards all, but as far women's laws are concerned, it seems to side the self-made prostitutes who entice away wealthy husbands, leaving the families of these husbands almost on the roads... See; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/destroyadultary
Also it gives lots of facilities to females to trap their innocent husbands by misuse of IPC 498A... See discussions in http://groups.yahoo.com/group/indianjustice
Also, when NCW and law ministry was requested to amend IPC 497 & 498 by changing the words husband and wife to spouse, may be some authorities got frightened of being alleged themselves or so... who knows... and applied that IPC 497 & 498 should not be criminal laws at all!
Do you think in this senario;
An Indian woman, a legal wife or daughter, will ever get justice?
Or Only self made prostitute will keep getting indirect shield of the laws that do not give chance to the wives to proscecute these self made prostitutes who entice away their husbands?

They are cramming an Amnesty Bill down our throats as the wide majority of Americans vehemently oppose it. They are spending us head-long into financial oblivion. The national debt is approaching 9 TRILLION dollars. Our children and grand children will be debt slaves. They are "surging" us further into the Halliburton windfall meat-grinder in the Middle East. They have become bold and arrogant.

Recent words from the Decider:
“I’ll see you at the signing table"
“I won't take no for an answer"

So I ask you, "What are you gonna do about it?"

After doing extensive research, I have decided for the most part to join the Marines Corps. Since I want to be able to perform my best and excel during my service in the Marines, I was also strongly considering joining the Army first as preperation and training and consider that as my "Delayed Entry Program" for the Marines. So what are the requirements if I want to see this happen? Are there any know programs and/or systems that support this kind of transition? I am 20 years old, soon to be 21, so I only want to spend the minimum amount of time in the Army that will be beneficial to me before I make my transition to the Marines . Please give me as much feedback and information as possible! Thank you!
